Philips: HDCP 2.2 bei OLED803 und OLED903 wieder auf allen HDMI

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection ) ist ein Verschlüsselungsystem, welches neben den Schnittstellen DVI, DisplayPort auch bei HDMI Anwendung findet und auch bei Blu-rays genutzt wird. Für UHD-Inhalte wird HDCP in Version 2.2 herangezogen, um die Kette von der Datenquelle (z.B. UHD-BD) zur Wiedergabe (TV) zu verschlüsseln und somit nicht kopierbar zu machen. Kommerzielle UHD-Inhalte mit HDR setzen HDCP 2.2 voraus.
In der Vergangenheit unterstützten nicht alle HDMI-Eingänge der verschiedenen Philips TV-Modelle /-Fernseher HDCP 2.2. Es gab aber auch Ausnahmen, wie beispielsweise der erste Philips OLED TV 55POS901F/12 .
Einhergehen mit HDCP 2.2 bieten alle HDMI-Eingänge auf dem 901F eine maximale Wiederholungsrate von 60 Hz bei UHD-Auflösung von 3840 x 2160 – das heißt, dass alle Eingänge HDMI 2.0 konform sind und somit eine höhere Bandbreite (4K-Video mit 60Hz und 24 Bit/Pixel Farbtiefe) und erweiterte Farbräume (ITU-R Rec. 2020 ) unterstützen. Der Rec. 2020-Farbraum findet auch bei HDR -Bildinhalten Anwendung.
Bei den Philips TV-Modellen des Jahrgangs 2017 und den meisten 2018er sind bspw. nur zwei der vier Eingänge voll für UHD/HDR/60Hz ausgestattet. So kann es hier schon knapp werden mit 4K-Geräten, die ggf. auch noch HDR unterstützen (PS, X-Box, UHD-Receiver, Mediastreamer, etc.).
Mit den nun kürzlich vorgestellten neuen OLED-Serien OLED803 und OLED903 kommt nun eine neue Platine zum Einsatz, die neben dem bereits erwähnten Dual-TV-Tuner auch wieder vier voll ausgestattete HDMI-2.0-Eingänge besitzt. (Ich habe noch nichts in Bezug auf HDMI 2.1 gehört.)

PS: Bei Fehlern bitte einen Kommentar hinterlassen… das ganze Thema ist nicht wirklich überall eindeutig – zumal als Endnutzer einem nicht wirklich alle Informationen zur Verfügung stehen (auch sagt bspw. die HDMI Spezifikation aus, dass HDCP optional ist etc… ;-)).
