Brauche Mal Hilfe…hat noch jemand das Problem, daß sich die App für den Chromcast build in automatisch aktualisiert und anschließend nicht mehr funktioniert? Wenn ich die Updates der App deinstalliere, funktioniert diese App wieder einwandfrei…leider aktualisiert diese sich immer wieder von selbst…kann man das irgendwie abstellen? aktuelle Firmware ist installiert..seitdem Firmware-Update musste ich auch leider die originalen Fernbedienung gegen eine günstige Infrarot tauschen, damit ich den Fernseher bedienen kann…aber das Thema wurde hier ja schon ausreichend diskutiert

I have a Philips TV and every time he starts in recovery mode with at the bottom the message No file_contexts.
I tried the upgrade loader but it doesn’t work.
I tried Apply update from SD card with te latest firmware and i starts the update process. Then it suddenly stops and i get the following recovery message. Does someone knows the problem?

Wird es für die 2016 Geräte noch ein Firmware-Update geben?

Danke für die schnelle Antwort, das wäre sehr bedauerlich, da Philips nie die letzten Sicherheits-Updates mit einbaut.
Bis jetzt lagen die immer bei Erscheinen mind. 2 – 3 Monate zurück, schwach ist auch, dass es kein Android 9 mehr geben soll.
Von der Hardware her wäre das kein Problem, bin mal gespannt, ob es im XDA Forum für Android TVs Alternativen geben wird

also es ist erwiesen, dass Android 9 flüssiger auf alter Haedware läuft als die Version 8, der Update-Zyklus bei Android geräte ist unabhängig vom Gerät meistens nicht vorhersebar oder dem Herstellerzufall überlassen.
Jetzt mag man Pgilips zugute halten, dass ein TV von 2016 eventuell noch 2020 ein Update erhält, dieses aber danach zu einem Sicherheitsrisiko für das Heimnetzwerk wird.

Hier muss, auch für andere Geräte, der Gesetzgeber eingrefen und Vorgaben machen, zurück zum TV, ich kaufe mir in der Regel nicht alle 4 Jahre einen Fernseher für damals über 3.000 Euro.

Samsung z. B. fängt hier an, zumindest ab jetzt, für die Handys ab 2019 3 Android-Updates zu garantieren.
Das finde ich schon mal einen guten Ansatz!
