If Philips/TP Vision is not going to revert this decision….
They will loose many customers.
At least I‘m not going to buy an Philips TV anymore as I can’t use my current hue extension setup in the with newer TVs.

Philips Hue came in 2012 on the market. Around that time many Philips TV’s had a huge problem with very short ‘frozen frames’ which was later called the ‘DynGOP32’ problem. Because the Philips does-not-HelpDesk could or would not solve it, I wrote a letter to Mr. van Houten, mentioning him the very special ‘ties’ with Philips I have, who go back to the mother of my grandmother. The outcome was that I got a ‘personal helper’ appointed but he also could not solve the problem. Instead he arranged a clumsy external-tuner that did not suffer from DynGOP32. And I got some Philips ‘goodies’. I wrote Mr. van Houten a thank-you letter and suggested him some things, like ‘combining Philips Hue light with Ambilght’. Actually Philips already back in the sixties had TV-sets with an extra power-outlet at the back of the TV to connect a shade-lamp, so the idea was not entirely new. Mr. van Houten again wrote me a letter stating that he would bring this ‘combining’-idea ‘into the teams’.
Hi Toengel, hast du eine Quelle für diese Information? Ich wollte mir im Herbst einen 2023er OLED kaufen und endlich meinen 2010 Philips TV upgraden. Jetzt bin ich ganz schön verunsichert :/
Sta me toe om te zeggen dat ik deze beslissing niet begrijp…en al helemaal niet kan volgen.
Philips hue en Ambilight zijn het hart van elke Philips tv set up.
Deze beslissing moet dan ook teruggedraaid worden want dit is echt totaal van de pot gerukt.

sehr gut geschrieben und mein voller Support dazu.
Habe aktuell den 55POS9002 OLED mit 4 HUE Lampen und 2 HUE lightstrips.
Will es nicht mehr missen. Hoffe TP Vision entscheidet sich richtig.
Checke gerade den Kauf auf 65OLED807… könnte dann evt. der letzte Philips sein…
wäre echt schade.Ralf
Na klasse. Dieses Jahr im Herbst wäre mal wieder ein neuer Philips aus der 2023er-Reihe fällig gewesen, aber das werde ich wohl aus den von Dir genannten Gründen zumindest aufschieben bis man bei TP Vision diese Entscheidung hoffentlich noch einmal überdenkt.

Unfortunately I also fell into this trap.
I bought the Philips 75PUS8808 /12 last week.
Regrettably, this is also the 2023 model.
What can I say…
Integration in HUE+ not possible!
According to Philips customer service, this function will no longer be possible on all models from 2023. Just as Alex has described here.
Now I’m faced with the decision, send back TV, and buy older model (if still available). Or live with the situation.
However, Philips has not done itself any favors with this!

Vielen Dank, dass Sie darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben. Ich hatte absolut keine Ahnung, dass Ambilight+Hue verschwinden würde.
Ich bin auch schockiert, dass die USB-Aufzeichnung verschwindet.
Es ist zwar seltener, lineares Fernsehen zu schauen, aber es gibt immer noch viele Leute wie uns, die es nutzen. Das lineare Ansehen gibt manchmal „Inspiration“ dafür, welche Programme verfügbar sind.Wie Sie richtig betonen, ist das Ambilight ein wichtiger Aspekt bei einem Philips Fernseher.
Nach vielen Softwareproblemen zunächst mit einem 55PFL8007 und später mit einem 55PUS8601 reichte es für uns. Seitdem haben wir ein Loewe OLED, das sehr stabil läuft.
Leider vermissen wir beide immer noch das Ambilight.
Ich arbeite auch in einem Unternehmen, in dem wir Philips-Fernseher verkaufen. Die Software läuft heutzutage recht stabil, sodass mein Problem von vor Jahren gelöst wurde.
Während der Corona-Pandemie habe ich mein Wohnzimmer mit Hue-Lampen gefüllt. Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass sie mit dem Fernseher mitfärben.Hoffentlich wird Philips TV seine Entscheidung noch einmal überdenken.
USB Aufzeichung wurde auch gestrichen ? Davon hatte ich noch nichts gehört.
Die haben ja einen knall.
Wiso soll ich mir also das nächste mal einen TPVision Fernseher kaufen?
Samsung + dazugehörigen HueApp und by by PhilipsTv.
Oder kommt stattdessen eine AndroidApp?
Jedenfalls ohne Ambilight+Hue bedeutet für mich kein TPVision Fernseher mehr. Also will ich sagen, dass mein 65Oled855 der letzte war. Schade.

An interesting fact is that the disappearance of this function occurred precisely in the 2023 model range, namely in the one where the new platform based on the new Pentonic 1000 is used. I don’t think that Philips TVs used a dedicated chip for the Ambilight + Hue function to work and it could very well be that not just like that.
