Thank you dear Toengel;
Please, “do not sent me to hell”… :)
I can try to install the latest Upgrade Loader for Android 11 which you just recommend to me, even if I think that my Philips TV model above mentioned is actually an Android 9 OS based TV?
ToengelAdministratorHi,
yes, cause if your TV would run with ATV9 at this moment, your TV would receive an update to ATV11…
Toengel@Alex
PhilippaGastThank you, dear Toengel;
I will definitely try what you recommended, and I will most surely post the results, both on XDA and here on your respectful blog – that you know, and all the other folks here with same TV nightmares.
I will test everything tonight, or over night. :)
Till then, once more thank you big! :)
Philippa
PhilippaGastDear Toengel;
With exceptional happiness and gratitude to you, I can confirm now that I safe my TV ass, literary! :)
When I record on mine 8GB FAT32 USB Stick the extrapolated “upgrade_loader.pkg” file from your last here recommended, the “TPM191E_201.000.248.217_upgrade_loader.zip” file, and then connect this of mine USB stick via my TV and then connect it to a power source, it immediately show on my TV screen the “Software upgrade in progress… message now!!! :)
So, it stays like that for about half an hour, then it first show an official Philips corp. logo and after that also the androidtv logo, and after that he initially ask that I Pair my TV remote controller with this of mine Philips TV, for which I found instructions via official PDF Manual for this of mine Philips TV model, page 8.
After that, everything was just the day I bought this TV for the very first time some 4 years ago, so I need to set everything like in the past…, but I successfully safe my TV, thank Goodness and thank to You! :)
In this Phillips TV Settings -> Update software -> Current software info, it says now that I have installed:
a) Version: TPM191E_R.201.000.248.217
b) Creation date: Thu Mar 21 11:24:20 CST 2024
In this Phillips TV Android Settings -> Device Preferences -> About, it says also this:
a) Device name: 43PUS8545/12
b) Model: TPM191E
c) Android TV OS version: 11
d) Android TV OS security patch level: 5 February 2024
e) Kernel version: 4.9.285-ab3651, #1 Thu Mar 21 11:14:07 CST 2024
f) Android TV OS build: RTT2.211108.001 release-keys
Now, my final question for you, my Philips TV now offering in its Settings -> Update software -> Search for updates -> Internet (recommended), an even more newer Software update installation than it is now!
Can I even proceed to that Update now, or just totally disregard and simply set to: OFF???
Thank you once again for help and advice!!!
Philippa
ToengelAdministratorHi,
yes, you can update it…. Should be no problem
Toengel@Alex
PhilippaGastI am proceeding even with this Update right now. Please cross fingers. :)
PhilippaGastWell, it went pretty fast and easy-peasy this time! :)
He download the Update over Internet and I install it, and at the very end of its installation he just automatically engage to watch my TV on exactly the same TV channel where I left him prior this Update. :)
And now, in this Phillips TV Settings -> Update software -> Current software info, it says that I have installed:
a) Version: TPM191E_R.201.000.248.227
b) Creation date: Tue May 28 10:57:21 CST 2024
In this Phillips TV Android Settings -> Device Preferences -> About, it says also this:
a) Device name: 43PUS8545/12
b) Model: TPM191E
c) Android TV OS version: 11
d) Android TV OS security patch level: 1 April 2024
e) Kernel version: 4.9.285-ab3673, #1 Tue May 28 10:46:32 CST 2024
f) Android TV OS build: RTT2.211108.001 release-keys
For the final touch, I even try just one more time to engage in this Phillips TV Settings –> Update software -> Search for Updates -> Internet (recommended), and it says that there is “No updates” anymore at the present time for me.
So finally, I update everything correctly now, and I have again a fully operable and now even an Up-to-date Philips 43PUS8545/12, 43”, 108cm, TPM20.1E LA chassis, manuf. Nov 2020, LCD TV! :)
Dear Toengel, I am truly thankful for all your help and advice’s in last 3 days, both on XDA forum initially and then here on your respectful Toengels Philips Blog! :)
Once more best regards from Philippa via Italy!
Stanley VoigtGast<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hallo!</p>
Toengel@Alex
Stanley VoigtGastOh, ok.
Also bei Current main software: QV151E.0.5.38.219
und bei Standby software steht: 15.01.01.00
ToengelAdministratorTachchen,
na dann hast du die neueste Firmware – was neueres gibt es nicht und es wird auch nichts neueres kommen.
