sorry , but seems that this forum keeps to cut some parts of my messages i do not understand why.
i would say, this issue looks like youtube , that is working ok with the youtube coming with tv firmware, all the version coming from playstore have issues.

sorry how can you think that hdr is country dependant, that it is working perfectly with the prime app that coming from philips app store? (and with that app also the stuttering is very very rare) :)
At the opposite all the prime apps coming from google store in the past have a big stutter + no HDR at all.regarding youtube i tried all the versions that came from play store, all have the same issues , 4k choppy 60/50 fps(the YT app coming with Fw is capped to 25/30 fps for the 4k60 videos) and some other videos have the image doubled side by side.
my personal opinion is that, for this hw philips is workarounding some driver bugs directly inside the apps that coming with the firmware instaed to fix driver or something at android level.
I’m very sad about those play issues. As soon as i could afford to change my AVR i think i’ll go also for nvidia shield and put android part of this tv on retirement.

1) Amazon can enable/disable feature remotely…
2) the stutter is fixed for the Google Play version of Amazon with this 4.12.5 release
3) with Oreo you have already a new 2.x YT app integrated – you cannot downgrade to a 1.x
4) again: when did you try the integrated YT app? please give a link of a video which does not work
5) Philips does not apply any changes into the official apps which are integrated into the firmware…Toengel@Alex

1) Your opinion is that amazon, romoved hdr only for playstore app for my hw or for my country? as i told it is working perfectly with the philips tv collection that is an android app too ( playstore wants to upgrade that, so it is actually an adorid app), i suppose if they blocked for my country it is removed also from the philips store android app. the app that works with hdr is 407001700 20/8/2018 on the philips tv collection

3,4) I’ve restested youtube : the results are slightly different, now all the 4k > than 24p videos are crap with the app coming with firm and the updated one from playstore, lot of dropped frames

Hallo Leute, bei mir sind die Performance Probleme schlimmer geworden. Die App selber läuft gut, jedoch habe ich jetzt mehr Sound Probleme, also immer wieder stottern. Wenn ich die App zurück setze geht erst alles wieder, dann kommt das stottern. Mein TV 55pos9002. Mfg Swen

Ja alles okay. Bei Netflix ist auch eher selten. Mal kurz ein Sound stotterer am Anfang oder mittendrin, dann aber auch Stunden nichts. Bei Amazon ist es erst am Anfang nur gewesenen, jetzt auch mehrmals mittendrin. Mit Anfang und mittendrin meine ich natürlich Serien und Filme. Nach dem Oreo Update war auch alles in Ordnung. Ging erst los nach den letzten Updates von Netflix und Amazon. Mit YouTube, Twitch usw gibt es keine Probleme. Übrigens scheint es zu helfen, wenn der Fernseher neu gestartet wird. Jedoch nur einige Zeit. Werde das weiter beobachten. Vielleicht gibt’s für die Apps ja noch weiter Updates. Mfg Swen

gestern nochmal mit BEAT in 4K HDR getestet. Die Serie die nach dem Oreo Update quasi gar nicht zu schauen war. Nach einem kleinen Buffern zu Beginn läuft alles wunderbar flüssig. Nach einer Weile dann erneut Ruckler im Bild aber irgendwie sah das auch als wäre der TV mit etwas beschäftigt. Dann einmal Kaltstart gemacht – danach lief die Prime App ohne Probleme und absolut zufriedenstellend. Ich denke das auch Oreo nach einer geraumer Zeit “zumüllt” und nur eine kompletter Neustart für ein “sauberes” Betriebssystem sorgt. Zumindest eine geraume Zeit lang.

Moin, ich hatte auch Startschwierigkeiten bzw. ein etwas holpriges Bild auf einem Philips. Mehr Bild-Puffern als üblich. Hat sich aber eingeränkt aktuell. Mein LG hingegen funzt einwandfrei.
Endlich (fast) kein Stottern mehr auf einem 55PUS6501. Ganz selten hakt es mal mittendrin für ein paar Frames, aber kein Vergleich zu vorher.
Was aber kaputt ist: 2,35:1 Filme werden nicht richtig dargestellt. Aufgefallen bei Kull der Eroberer und A Quiet Place. Das Bild ist im falschen Seitenverhältnis und es fehlt mind. unten etwas vom Bild. Das ist besonders gut bei A Quiet Place zu sehen. Gleich am Anfang beim Paramount Logo sind die Sterne nicht rund sondern sehr elliptisch um den Berg angeordnet und die einkodierten Untertitel sind fast nie zu sehen.
Das Problem mit der Darstellung (Eierköpfe) hab ich ich auch.
Ich stoppe kurz den Film und setze den gleich wieder fort, dann passts!

ich habe einen 55Oled803. Software TPM171E_R.107.000.230.000 Android 8.0.0 Amazon Prime App 4.12.5 vom 14.3.19 also nach meinem Empfinden alles aktuell! Seit dem Update auf Android 8 kein Prime mehr möglich entweder gar nichts außer schwarzer Bildschirm oder zu geringe Bandbreite wird angezeigt. Ich habe eine 50 DSL Leitung. Ging vor dem Update wie geschmiert. Die Alexa App funktioniert nur einen Tag. Danach wird gemeldet das der Fernseher nicht im Netzwerk vorhanden ist. Also nach dem Update viel versprochen nicht viel gehalten.
