Okay, danke dir. Auf den 804 zu warten bringt dann auch nichts, da nicht sichergestellt sein kann, dass die Apps dort das von Anfang an unterstützen/freigegeben ist oder?
Hast du aus der Gerüchteküche gehört wann bzw. ob Amazon den HDR-Support für die App der 2018er Philips-OLED Modelle freigibt?

Hab mal eine Nachricht an Amazon geschickt, rechne aber nicht wirklich mit einer informativen Antwort. Falls doch, werde ich es hier posten.
Hatte mich schon echt auf den neuen Philips TV gefreut allerdings weiß ich nicht ob ich mir diesen kaufe, wenn dieser bzw. die Apps so “abgespeckt” sind. Klar ist hier in erster Linie Amazon verantwortlich aber Philips könnte da bestimmt auch etwas mehr hinterher sein und Amazon druck machen.
Das Oreo Update für die 2018er OLED-Modelle ist auch noch nicht veröffentlicht, wenn ich das richtig sehe..
Ich hoffe einfach das der 803er in den nächsten Wochen _nicht_ im Angebot ist, da ich mir aktuell noch unsicher bin ob ich bei den Abstrichen zuschlagen würde.
Die Antwort kam zwar recht schnell aber wie zu erwarten war kam hauptsächlich bla, bla, tut uns Leid das das so ist, wir arbeiten dran, du als unser Kunde bist natürlich das wichtigste…

Did the oreo update fix this on any versions?

it’s up to Google to enable HDR on these TVs… similar to Amazon… they remotely activated HDR on 1st of March 2019…

I have question…
Do Philips POS 9002 have VP 9.2 codecs?I asked Philips and they say YES but…
When I try to open file downloaded from YT (337 version) – 4k HDR – TV doesn’t recognize this file as HDR and everything is washed out.I downloaded Smart Youtube App (https://smartyoutubetv.github.io/) whith is great. I can manualy set version with HDR and my POS 9002 display HDR mark in right corner but when I see my Video settings there is no HDR on (but video is not washed out – it looks exacly the same like normal 4k non HDR version).
I don’t understand where is a problem?

I try once again Smart youtube app and when I choose 4k HDR source my POS 9002 show HDR mark and in Video Settings HDR is ON but everything is washed out and this is not a correct HDR video.

HDR has not been enabled on the official YT app by Google… Hardware of the TV should support it…

I understand that HDR is not supported but official YT application but…
When I try to open downloaded VP 9.2 file with my build in TV video app there is no HDR. I try using Kodi – there is no HDR. I try using VERO 4k – there is no HDR.
WHen I use Smart YT app there is theoretically HDR but it is washed out:(
I thin there is something wrong with this TV and VP 9.2 codec.
PS: Do You know something about HDR10+ support ona POS 9002?

UPDATE:
I try MX Player again and Tv shows HDR marker on right corner but the video is washed out.
After 8.0 OREO update there is some upgrade with this… Earlier there wasn’t HDR markers when I try run VP9.2 files.

When I open “The World in HDR in 4K (ULTRA HD)-tO01J-M3g0U.webm” file directly downloaded from Youtube my OnePlus 6 phone opens it with HDR.
When I try to open this file with POS 9002 (with any program) there is HDR marker but colors are washed out:(
I understand there is no official Youtube application that supports HDR for PHILIPS TV but why my POS 9002 doesn’t properly opens movies with VP9.2 codecs?
There is no one who knows the answer (I asked Philips Tech Support and they are overlooking this question:(

Is there any Philips TV on the market whith working HDR and HLG from YT or from VP9.2 codecs?
PS:
I also have PFL 7008 and I needed to repair (200 euro) this unit motherboard (problem with power supply) 2,5 years after I bought it.
Yesterday it’s not starting once again:( Philips support claims they doesn’t repair any TV below 2016 year. I must to throw my PFL 7008 to trash after 4 years of use:(
