The games are surround,

 

Sadly I can’t put the pc directly in the Soundbar like I did before with the shield, then pcm 7.1 would work correctly without any audio delay,

 

But the soundbar only supports hdmi 2.0 so only 60hz 4k.

Mini pc in the TV I can game (stream)  perfectly 4k 144hz

7.1 does work with multichannel with mini pc connected,

 

Tested it with speaker configuration,

Only thing the small audio delay,

 

Games only use pcm (and moonlight also only) so enabling dolby atmos is no option.

 

Why can’t Phillips like other tvs just passhtrough pcm audio with bypass enabled?

LG tvs Sony etc just passhtrough pcm over earc?

Do you tried the Moonlight AndroidTV app instead?

Or you could try SPDIF connection if your mini-PC has that.

Hmm im not very familiar with Moonlight and multiple PCs to transfer sound.

I would set the mini-PC to dolby atmos (for hdmi) and the TV to Multichannel Bypass. Thats the only way im aware of transporting surround sound PC > TV.

I had a LG C1 in the past (connected to Sonos Arc) and it was same issue with delay

The problem is games doesn’t support dolby atmos on pc they all rely on pc same as moonlight can only passhtrough pcm audio no audio codecs

 

For movies setting the TV to dolby atmos would work great yes (it’s dolby digital+ atmos then)

Using the moonlight app on android TV also doesn’t work (Google or Android  TV apps) only do run in 60hz so I can’t use 120 or 144hz then,  to get 120 or 144hz you always need a hdmi device. Also the decoding time of the tvs soc are bad haha.

Spdif also wouldent work because the games doesn’t have dolby digital they all have pcm.

 

I just don’t know why phillips can’t passhtrough pcm audio in bypass mode over earc.

Same that Philips doesn’t have the dolby true HD licence, so they can’t passhtrough dolby true HD atmos over earc when you play a bleuray file on let’s say the shield. Contacted Philips and they replied they indeed have no dolby true HD licence. But I fixed that with connecting the shield to the soundbar directly :)

Hi,

afaik only PCM 2.0 is supported by the HDMI ports. Use the tool to read the EDID info from each port:

Then you can see, what is supported on the HDMI ports…

I did that with Cru and it supports 8 channel lpcm the hdmi 2.1 port, it does work great in multichannel but like I said a small delay,

But bypass doesn’t support /passthrough pcm surround sadly only pcm 2.0

Do you tried using Atmos on the Mini-PC and Bypass on TV?

Since the Atmos option will just apply a DD codec on your pcm and bypass sends that directly to soundbar. No TV encoding involved..

I hope i kinda got it correct…

Dein Tipp mit dem “…Speicher ist voll…” hat funktioniert aber nur zwei Wochen.

Gestern Abend kam die Meldung wieder.

Gibt es noch ein anderes Vorgehen oder liegt es doch an etwas anderem?

Oder einfach nochmal machen und nochmal und nochmal….weil beste/einzige Methode?

Ich nutze das EPG garnicht, weil der TV nur zum Streamen oder Bluray schauen da ist. Ich habe auch keinen Antennenanschluß.

Auch wenn es nicht ganz hier rein passt: Weiß jemand, welchen Cache ich löschen muss, damit die “Filmempfehlungen” = Werbung vom Homscreen verschwinden. Ich hatte dem Fernseher schon vor der Einrichtung Internet-Verbot gegeben aber beim Umzug auf nen neuen Router wurde das nicht mit übertragen und er hat einmal Werbung geladen. Das will ich wieder los werden.

Theoretisch kannst du den TV doch in den “App Only”-Modus einstellen. Da siehst du außer den App-Kacheln nichts…

Um den App-Only Modus zu nutzen, muss ich den Fernseher aber erst mal mit einem Google Konto einrichten, was ich nicht will.

 

Da vorher keine “Empfehlungen” kamen, muss man die ja auch wieder weg bekommen. Hab schon den Geräte-Cache, den der TV App und der TV Guide gelöscht.

Auch im App-Only Modus werden einem Film Vorschläge überhalb der Kacheln in Großformat leider angezeigt.

Glaube das bekommt man auf den neueren Geräten garnicht abgestellt.

du kannst auch einfach einen Launcher ohne Werbung installieren.

Bei dem kannst du bspw. auch die HDMI-Eingänge als Buttons im Home Screen hinterlegen.
