A speed of 100 Mbps is within the specifications. We cannot guarantee speeds above 100 Mbps because that is what the network card is set to. Wi-Fi connections achieve higher speeds.
Regardless, there is no content that the TV can receive that requires an internet speed higher than 100 Mbps. If you are experiencing lag or other issues, it is likely not caused by your internet speed. It may be caused by device limitations (either the TV itself, an external device, etc.), internet stability, or other issues.
The speed of 100 Mbps is within specifications because we designed the TV to receive the internet via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and the USB connection was not designed with internet reception in mind.
A very satisfactory answer, which shows that TPV hasn’t adequately tested its high-end products. They’re simply saves in the wrong place. In this price range, I can certainly expect a 1Gbps network. With today’s data volumes, much more bandwidth is needed. I will definitely stick with the ATV 12, as the TV is otherwise worthless to me, since only Ethernet to USB guarantees the necessary bandwidth.

the big question is, if the hardware platform could support 1000 MBit bandwidth internally (meaning the connection to the SOC). Not sure how other vendors [which are also using the Pentonic 1000] are doing it (100 vs 1000 MBit)…
However, it’s sad, that the drivers for USB-LAN adapters are not available anymore. I can only imagine, that the standard ATV 14 is loading to much stuff and Philips removed every “unnecessary” driver to achieve enough free RAM during the normal usage of the TV.

this response unacceptable at 2025 world!
for example at least last 3/4 or 5 years there is lot of TVBoxes with 1oooMb(1Gb)LAN&WiFi too!
why TV manufacturers still use 100Mb??
Hi,
the Pentonic 1000 does have 4 USB connections (1x USB 3, 2x USB 2, and one is used for the WLAN module). The LAN is somehow connected differently and the used hardware LAN chip does only support 100 MBit.

Vorgestern hab ich einen Film auf Disney+ angeschaut und dabei bekam ich diese Meldung:
“Achtung
Der interne Speicher des Fernsehers ist fast voll. Es wird dringend empfohlen, Speicherplatz freizugeben, damit ihr Fernseher weiterhin einwandfrei funktioniert.
Möchten Sie den internen Speicher des Fernsehers jetzt optimieren?
Später Jetzt”
Daraufhin hab ich ein paar Apps gelöscht, die ich noch nie benutzt habe und danach war für den Rest des Films ruhe.
Gestern, wieder beim Film schauen auf Disney+, kam dann die Meldung wieder und ich hab noch eine weitere App gelöscht auf die ich eigentlich auch verzichten kann.
Keine 5 Minuten später kam die Meldung wieder und hab mir mal den App Speicher angeschaut.
Die Apps belegen 4 GB und insgesamt sind noch 725MB frei.
Das sollte doch eigentlich ausreichen.Nachdem ich dann auf “Später” gedrückt hatte war für den Rest des Abends ruhe.
Hat jemand diese Meldung auch schonmal gehabt?
