Owner of the OLED705 here. I’ve encountered several issues after updating to Android 12, especially when compared to Android 11 and 9.

          1. Slow App Launching: App opening is noticeably sluggish. The animations are delayed, making it unclear whether the TV has registered the button press. The severity of the delay varies by app. YouTube and Twitch are somewhat acceptable, but others like Sweet TV (local IPTV), Disney+, Apple TV, and Netflix are significantly worse, taking up to 6-8 seconds to start the animation.

          2. Video Stuttering at Start: There’s a consistent stutter at the beginning of video playback, most noticeable on YouTube. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it is definitely irritating.

          3. Audio Switch Glitch When Turning On TV: When turning the TV on, the audio briefly switches to the internal speakers from the soundbar and blasts at full volume for about a second. It wouldn’t be as frustrating if it weren’t so loud.

          4. TV Powers Off Completely Instead of Going to Standby: Instead of entering standby mode, the TV completely shuts down, disconnecting from Wi-Fi and requiring a full boot-up every time it’s turned on. This behavior started unexpectedly today. I fixed it by unplugging the TV and plugging it back again but this is not the solution.

And before you ask—yes, I did perform a factory reset after updating to Android 12. Is there any official place I can send this feedback to TP Vision where they actually consider that feedback?

            @Adam,

What you are describing indicates that the new firmware has not installed correctly.
Install the new ATV12 firmware again using the upgrade loader available here in the software archive
            incl. factory reset.
It would be worth a try …

I’ve done the update. All went well. The TV was sluggish for a couple of minutes after the first start and for some reason it redownloaded most of the installed apps even though there were no new versions.

After that the TV felt snappier which is very welcome.

I haven’t had the chance to test yet all the audio support nor the refresh rate switch. Is that Android TV 12 feature really implemented? Is there a new setting somewhere?

                Hi,

sure, after the update you need to wait several minutes after the restart to settle down the TV… much is installed in the background… I always wait e.g. 10 minutes (without interacting), then shut down, power plug procedure, restart…

Happy to report that Atmos is now working again on Max. It was broken for years with this app only.

Hi, I have a Philips 65pus7304 TV and I have the same problems as Adam described on April 22, 2025 at 5:40 PM.

First, I installed the update through the TV menu and then performed a reset to factory settings, after starting the TV, I turned it off and unplugged it for a few minutes, I was in no hurry. The initial settings already revealed that the TV was much slower. In every single application and even the OSD menu itself. So I used the installation via TPM191E_211.000.088.000 Upgrade_Loader and then did the factory settings. But even after this, the TV behaved the same. So I performed the installation again using the upgrade loader and factory settings, but unfortunately it did not help. Stuttering at the beginning but here and there during playback of any video, stream or local. Quality and codec don’t matter at all.

Double-click is still present and added to it a problem with a delay in registering the click, sometimes it is several seconds.

None of this happened on Android 9 and 11 had a problem “only” with double-clicking.

Does anyone have any advice please? I would really like to stay on 12 as it finally has the so-called viewport natively 4k and not 1080. Dolby Vision is much better than on 11.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I too had the slow apps issue which was fixed by setting up the TV from scratch (reinstall)

This firmware is terribly bad, at least for my 7304 series. I tried installing it again using the upgrade loader and a complete reset, but it’s still just as bad.
It’s so bad that I decided to go back to Android TV 9 TPM191E _ 101.002.178.000. All problems are gone, the TV is smooth, without video stutters and without double-clicks. Although I lost the so-called 4k viewport and ethernet support via usb, I can live with that.
What annoys me is that it constantly prompts me to update even though I turned off Automatic software update in the settings. Can anyone please advise how to get rid of this annoying notification?
