Hi there Toangel and fellas, have gotten into an issue after having a low voltage outage, my OLED803 is not turning on and the led red light is blinking without a visible pattern. Some years ago with the same exact low voltage outage I had it repaired in a single day, now in the same service they ask for a mainboard replace for a whopping 750 euros.
My initial thinking is that as I am from a small rural area in Greece that they didn’t replace the mainboard but fixed it rather easily by synchronizing the TCON somehow as having the specific mainboard in such place is unlikely, power reset (holding the power button, didn’t work) any idea what can I do? Maybe disconnect the tcon and do a power cycle then flash the firmware from the .bin again?
Or any other ideas?
Hi,
write me an email + photo of the sticker of the back of your TV…

@Toengel, it was My USB STICK that needed to be formated to sub 8GB, and a combination of holding the joystick on the down position when plugging the power cord(maybe? it wasn’t booting otherwise).
I had already received the “N V M.BIN” and it managed to get flashed, the TV is fixed.
Thanks a lot!
Your help and contribution of the required file was great.
This TV is notoriously easy to get in safe mode after power outages, I hope the device will live for another 2-3 years.

Hi Toengel,
I’ve been trying to recover an OLED803/12 for a good number of weeks now which is suffering from a stuck Philips logo. I have tried the most recent Upgrade_Loader.pkg (107.1.143.0), (107.1.136.3) and (107.1.132.0), without bootup success yet. “Software Upgrade in progress” is displayed, but does not complete.
I read the boot log via Uart connection and noted that 107.1.143.0 was calling for missing BIN files “..nt334_2k18”. Should these be present inside the zip as they are with the older zip files?
Lastly, I’d really like to try flashing the NVM.bin file for this set. Would you be able to share this with me too?
Many thanks for all your help and advice.
JB
Hi,
just copy all files from the upgrade_loader.zip version 107.1.136.3 together with the latest upgrade_loader.pkg (version 171.1.143.0) on the usb stick…
Drop me an email regarding NVM file together with a photo of the sticker on the back of your TV.

Hallo an alle,

Can anybody please help, I am a bit stuck at the moment.
Oled 803/12 EU model is stuck on Philips logo. TV power led is not showing anything.
I got the upgrade_loader_TPM171E_R.107.001.143.000.zip from Philips. Zip contains only one file: upgrade_loader.pkg
Used USB2 and Fat32 stick, used USB2 port, limited size to 4gb and also 8gb – nothing works.
Tried all the reset tricks with the button and power off on etc. nothing works.
TV starts the loading upgrade text, but that is stuck forever on the screen, and nothing happens.
I have seen that a couple of people have had issues that some files could be missing from the .pkg.
I downloaded one file from here, but it was a .upg file. I have no idea what to do with that.
How to proceed? I saw some suggestions to use a older .pkg file but I can not find any older ones. Only the 107.001.143.000 is available everywhere.
Hi,

this takes around 20 minutes… just wait…
And you need the upgrade_loader.pkg – not the autorun.upg

Thanks for the reply. I have waited for 20min, 30mins, 1hour, 8hours. Every time in front of the tv (except 8h) to see if it finishes so i could pull out the usb, but nothing has happened.
Could it be a bigger problem as the led of the tv is not showing red or anything, not blinking etc.
Where could I get an older sw/fw version to try to install?
Hi,
but the message “Software upgrade in progess” is visible on the screen?

Hello,
Yes, the message is displayed on the screen.
I tried also the upgrade_loader.pkg which was available to download from here and still the same result.
Philips support replied to me when asking what to do next, that tough luck, take it to a repair shop next.

Some reddit user had same issue with a different model and he got things working by using a ._upgrade_loader.pkg-file. What is that?
Reddit comment:
“Never mind, all good… It seams like I needed to copy both files: ._upgrade_loader.pkg AND upgrade_loader.pkg
