good to hear that you found a way to make your backlight work!
Yes, typical for Philips, but also for other companies.
Today every new piece of software/hardware has a life of its own and brings unexpected surprises.
I miss the days when products only reached the customer when they were fully developed. I hate working for the manufacturers as an unpaid tester. :-(
