Danke, bist der Beste! Hatte CEC Probleme und dachte bei dem Alter der Soundbar finde ich nirgends n Update oder Infos mehr.

Ok, if those firmwares (from 2015) are the newest, I’m happy. I succesfully updated my soundbar B5 :)

the linked Firmware V24 only contains the MCU firmware (B5MCU.BIN) update file.
In the B5 Firmware history file, it is also mentioned a V22 Firmware which would update the HDMI Repeater firmware (B5RPT.BIN) from V19 to V22.
Do you have the V22 Firmware or the B5RPT.BIN file ?

I have installed the latest update and it updates the MCU from V19 to V24.
But the latest update V24 does not contain the RPT file therefore it does not update the RPT component from V19 to V22.Since RTP Version did not change from V22 to V24 the RPT file was probably not included in the V24 update since this update was supposed alredy to be done in the V22 update.
I would need the V22 update for that.Hi,
hmm – that’s bad. I don’t have the V22 anywhere. And you don’t even need to ask the Philips support. None of these old files are available. What problems do you have with your B5?

it’s now working well with the V24 MCU update, so the HDMI Repeater boards update does not seem to be critical for my application.

I did have some issues with Subwoofer popping noise and high pitched noises from the soundbar but this was not related to firmware but instead to bad capacitors.
After exchange of some capacitors (mainly in the Voltage Step-Down converter circuits of the main bar and of the surround speakers), it is now working very well again.
