If you block you’re Avr it’s normall the TV can’t get a signal from the zidoo? The Avr will passhtrough the display from the zidoo, if you disable /block Avr signal you won’t see any output.

But…..

Either I’m stupid or I’ve missed something… why think that the CEC carries video, the CEC (pin 13 of the HDMI) only carries communication protocols… For example: when I turn on the Zidoo, the Zidoo sends its video and audio through the other pins, and pin 13 sends a signal to the Denon telling it to switch to the “media player” input (or other) to show the Zidoo video, then the Denon sends information to the TV via CEC (pin 13) to tell it to switch to the HDMI2 port because the Denon is broadcasting. But none of the audio or video goes through the CEC… (Before, there was no CEC and it worked).

The only difference is that Philips has made it stupid by saying it’s either all with CEC or nothing.

At Philips, every video device must communicate with Philips: Normally, all devices communicate with the Philips only if there is nothing between them. When there is an AVR between them, only the AVR communicates with the Philips (the AVR bypass option is there so that the Zidoo can communicate with the Philips if the AVR is turned off…).

Without CEC, the user has to do all this using the remote control; that’s what CEC was for.

If I follow your logic, not all devices are CEC-compatible, so if I have a non-CEC device connected to my AVR, what should I do?

Über das Problem mit den 2 HDMI2 in Verbindung mit AVR habe ich schon vor langer Zeit berichtet, ohne dass jemand dazu geantwortet hatte. Lesen denn alle wirklich alles oder zumindest aktuelle Beiträge?

Warum jetzt plötzlich so viele auf dieses ärgerliche Problem aufmerksam werden, ist ja erfreulich.

Ich möchte daher hier zum gefühlt zehnten Mal nachfragen, ob ein Downgrade nach TPM231WW_R.101.002.038.234 diese CEC Easy Link Fehler behebt?

What’s your tv model ?

This reinforces what I think. If you reported it to Philips a long time ago and nothing has changed since then…it means that Philips doesn’t care and ultimately doesn’t give a damn about its customers.

Einzig was mir beim ATV 12 Downgrade aufgefallen ist, ich konnte wieder per HDMI 2 auf meine Soundbar zugreifen und hatte nicht wie in ATV 14 nur ein schwarzes Bild.

Sonst habe ich leider nicht weiter rumprobiert.

Only the soundbar or soundbar: HDMI2. + Other device: HDMI2.?

Because that’s where the biggest problem lies…

Naja, @Thierry,

ich denke, über Philips/ TPV muss man nicht lange reden, insbesondere was Updates und Fehlerbereinigung anbelangt. Den Fehler habe ich dort also nicht gemeldet.

Ich habe einen 65er 808 und hatte vielmehr hier Rat oder Tipps erhofft, im Wissen, dass hier eher Hilfe möglich ist.

Weil der CEC Fehler immer wieder dazu führt, dass “kein Signal” angezeigt wird und man die Kiste dann neu starten muss, um Bild von den am AVR angeschlossenen Quellen zu bekommen, hatte ich daher schon oft gefragt, ob diese Fehler auch schon in früherer Firmware  bekannt waren.

Wer also bitte kann etwas dazu sagen, ob ein Downgrade was bringt.

@cf: Ich kann nur für meinen 908 (2023) sprechen. Mit ATV12 hatte ich keine CEC Probleme (im Gegensatz zu ATV14).

Dazu kommt der sporadische “Ton-weg” Fehler, den ich in dieser Form auch nicht hatte unter ATV12.

Ebenso Bluescreent mein PC sporadisch beim Umschalten der Eingänge am Onkyo. Stecke ich HDMI bei der RTX5080 ab, gibts keine BSODs. Zwar ist das Problem zeitlich erst mit dem FW Upgrade auf ATV14 aufgetreten (davor 6 Monate keine Probleme). Fairerweise könnte es aber theoretisch auch am Onkyo NR7100 liegen, oder an den Chipsatz/NVidia Treibern, nicht zwangsläufig an der TV Firmware. Wüsste aber gar nicht wo ich den Fehler melden sollte in meinem Fall, weil Verursacher schwer zuortbar. Falls ich auf ATV12 downgrade, werde ich das aber nochmal ausführlich testen. Derzeit stecke ich HDMI zwischen AVR und PC nur an, wenn ich es brauche.

Ich möchte hier nochmal zusammenfassen, wie sich das bei mir darstellt:

65er 808, Denon AVR-X1700H DAB, VU Uno4kse, FireCube, alle Updates.

Variante 1:

Fire Cube und VU sind per HDMI an den entsprechenden Eingängen des Denon, dieser per HDMI am HDMI2 des 808. Am 808 eARC auto, Easy Link ein, Tonausgang Mehrkanal Bypass.

808 ein schaltet den Denon ein. Soweit ok. Doch oft nach dem Einschalten kein Bild am HDMI2 des TV, Anzeige kein Signal.

Im Quellenmenü des 808 stehen zwei HDMI2, nämlich HDMI2 Audiosystem UND HDMI2 Amazon FireTV.

Am HDMI2 Audiosystem kommt kein Bild, nach Umsschalten auf HDMI2 FireTV aber oft. TV aus und wieder ein geht dann alles.

Variante 2:

VU an HDMI1 des 808, FireTV an HDMI2 des 808, Denon am HDMI2 des 808. Quellenwahl nur am TV.

Funktioniert an und für sich, im Quellenmenü steht auch nur einmal der HDMI2, Soundsystem.

Um aber Einstellungen oder Optionen am Denon vornehmen zu können, wähle ich am 808 HDMI2. Aber das OSD des Denon wird nicht angezeigt, stattdessen “kein Signal”. Starte ich den TV auf HDMI2 neu, habe ich das OSD des Denon. Aber nur bis zur nächsten Quellenwahl am 808, danach kommt wieder “kein Signal”.

Ich habe versucht, das Problem kurz und verständlich darzustellen, hoffe, es gelang mir.

Nun stellt sich die Frage, alles über den Denon, oder alles über den 808. Eine Wahl zwischen Pest und Cholera.

Oder ich downgrade?

I/we have been communicating about HDMI CEC issues for months. Philips even replaced my TV, switching from an 808 to an 810.

I have at least three tickets with Philips support on this issue!

Even my 804 (still running Android 9…) handles HDMI CEC better than our 23/24/25 model…

After several updates, I’m starting to lose patience…

I think we should take collective action (for those who have social media accounts!) to raise awareness of these issues with TVs that are considered to be high quality!

I’m sure that if we had access to the firmware code, our coder friends would find a solution…

We share our problems, but only through support tickets however, our dear Alex (who somehow manages to keep this forum active!!!) could perhaps, thanks to his reputation and years of gathering information, get Philips to fix these problems!!!
