      @Dota2Veteran

I could solve that problem with a downgrade to ATV12. And I don’t have any artefacts during playing HDR or Dolby Vision stuff.

Other options to solve the problem are unknown and the support of TPV is sucks. They tell all, what isn’t possible, but don’t make any helpful suggestions.

I asking myself, why and for what they get money for their work.

understand that apps running on the TV OS (Netflix, Plex, Disney+, etc.) cannot passthrough Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Atmos—this is expected.

However, what’s confusing is that even when using an external device like the Nvidia Shield connected to the TV via HDMI, the Philips OLED 810 still cannot passthrough TrueHD Atmos through eARC to a q950a.

With the Shield in the TV HDMI input:

Bypass on: the TV tries to forward the bitstream, but the q950a often only receives stereo or PCM, and the Atmos logo does not appear.

Bypass off: the TV decodes the audio to PCM 5.1, so the rear channels work, but no Atmos logo.

Only Dolby Digital Plus (EAC3) Atmos reliably works through eARC, for example from streaming apps.

I already used my shield connected to the q950a always but I wanted to try this on my new TV

Looks like Phillips TV can’t pass through true HD with earc.

Chat gpt also says it’s a common is eu with Philips TV Firmware and it’s pori ably a licence thing?

TrueHD atmos 7.1 and dtshd works on my oled with pc connnected to hdmi on tv and earc down on my q930b

But i must use plex player with some settings on audio output..

I think the plex downsample it back to dd+  atmos then to make it work?

Because I am not getting any dolby atmos on my Soundbar when the shield is connected to my TV and the q950a connected to the earc with bypass on.

With vlc player or just player  or stremio

                  Hi,

connect a PC to the HDMI ports of the TV and read the EDID values which audio formats are supported…

I also got a different question, I’m suoer happy with my new oled 810 77 inch but it had some banding so I did clear residual image 3 times in row, it only took maybe 5 minutes I could manauly turn the TV on and it said finished and the banding is gone.

Dit this degraded my TV for like colours / and brightness?

I see in the manual performing clear residual image running often may reduce oled lifetime? I’m now scared a little bit.

Or are these new oled TV smart and they can feel the voltage on all pixels that’s why it was so short for me?

It also counted as 3 jbl counts in the csm.

                      Thank you in advance :)

try the following tool: EnTech Taiwan | Utilities | Monitor Asset Manager

it reads the EDID dump from the TV/Monitor connected to your graphics card.

There is no  dolby true HD in asset manager listed, all other format yes so the TV is probably not supporting true HD over earc? The highest dolby format is dd+ in asset manager

Cru does list dolby  true HD  but with no flag, and a flag is needed to make it work?

That also explains why true HD bluray rips when shield is connected to ‘tv the soundbar is not getting any dolby atmos? And when shield is connected to soundbar native it does

Am or right about this? If  dolby true HD would be supported it should be listed in asset manager?

I contacted Philips about it and they confirmed Dolby TrueHD en DTS-HD Master won’t work over earc passthrough.

Weiß einer, was da hin kommt? Wollte die FB nicht unbedingt wegen einer Diode für 10c wegwerfen.
