        You guys are totally right. If they are artificially removing some working features, people will get pissed and never buy their products again. I bought Philips TV only because of Ambilight and Android software. But next time it would be LG and some normal backlight and mediabox with android os.

          Hi guys,

          @Thomas: I use VIMU application, but the result is the same via the native player of the TV also, or VLC as well. Tested. So issue is not related to the application used.
          At the same time, it is not file related neither. I tried like 20 different video files, my remuxed BlueRays via PC (I have a BlueRay reader, not pirated as @Sepp mentioned), also some private recorded videos of my child via phone and via Nikon device. All the same result.

          @Tomek: I completely agree, and I created alredy 2 tickets. One for the missing USBtoEth adapter – it got closed immediately as I mentioned earlier. Then I created a 2th ticket for the WiFi performance.

          @Father, if Philips will not fix this (adding back adapter or fixing wifi), I will not buy any further Philips products.

          In regards of the 2th ticket:
          Philips support repplied me and they wanted a speedtest.net resutl of my connection, router model/brand – so proof, that my network is OK. I sent him everything and I included my test result from yesterday about the unstable wifi connection and my tests. I am waiting for their further reply.

            Hi all,

            I’m interested in image quality, especially with the use of motion compensation in 24 Hz frequency and HDR Dolby vision etc … I use an Apple TV 4K (frequency adaptation and HDR) for streaming. (Not the android TV)

            Does this update bring any notable improvements on this point?

            Do I have any interest in installing it on my 808 to improve picture quality?

            Have you noticed any improvement on this point?

            Thank you

              @Coco

              I believe content frame matching is Android TV 12 feature, so you already have it.

                Thanks @Vader but I don’t use the android on the tv. Just the Apple TV.

                I would like to know if the use of motion modes for example Movie or standard mode are better handled in this new version? No jerks etc

                  Most people will not even notice that the network is not as fast as some people think it should be, so it’s a tiny minority of individuals that will “be pissed” and consider not buying Philips-products anymore. Don’t expect any changes here, really … Geeks with special needs are better off buying some kind of Media-Player that is specially designed for purposes like playing uncompressed ISOs of Blu-Ray-Discs from a NAS or something like that.

                    The ATV14 update eliminated my stutter issues. Seems like Framerate Matching work like intended for the first time. 809.
