Big shame to release a small update with Android 11 after more than half a year. When they released Android 14 for an older model. Poor support.
Und wieder die Hoffnung, dass endlich die Tonprobleme mit EARC (ARC) gefixt wurden. Seit über anderthalb Jahren läuft der Mist jetzt schon nicht. Und ich muss auch sagen, dass ich eigentlich mit Android 14 gerechnet hätte. Die anderen Serien wurden ja auch damit beglückt.

For me, this is more of a long-term problem with the remote control or the TV. The TV responds to the remote control’s instructions by flashing the LED on the TV. But the TV does not respond. It only happens sometimes when pressing the back or center button. It does not respond even after 20-30 presses, until I press the Home Button and it responds again. For me, this is a long-term problem, resetting never helped.

Langsam sollte echt mal eine neue Androidversion kommen, der TV war teuer genug.

Hi. I don’t use any SW for button mapping. The TV has been reset several times. Always during a major update. And the last time during the last update, when I thought a new Android was coming :D
I’ve never used this app so I can’t compare.

then try it… the next time, when pressing 19-20x and nothing happens, stop after 5x pressing and try the app instead…

I understand. But that’s not a solution. The remote is for controlling the TV. But when I tried a remote from a lower-end TV from 2021, the TV behaved the same way. The LED was blinking but the TV didn’t respond. I have TVs from several manufacturers and this has never happened to me with anyone else. It’s quite embarrassing for the Philips brand. It’s also strange that the remote is paired via BT and even then the TV only responds if the remote is pointed directly at the TV. With other brands, the remote works even through obstacles, really via BT. Philips has already disappointed several times. The next TV will definitely be TCL. It offers much more than Philips.
It’s so, so disappointing to see yet another Android 11 update with nothing new/fixed. Even the older models got Android 12 sooner.
Philips should be totally ashamed for not giving a crap about this still very new plaform. I would even say device count is one of the highest for all TPM211EA in the list.

absolut lächerlich was Philips da abliefert. Nach einem halben Jahr ein Sicherheitsupdate für die im Titel genannten HIGH-END TV’S…Alle anderen Serien bekommen Android Updates aber die sogenannte HIGH-END natürlich ein kleines Update. Nie wieder kaufe ich so ein verdammtes Abzocker Gerät.
Zum Glück gibt es heute Alternativen zum Ambilight. Das war der einzige Kaufgrund.
