      @Markus:
      Das findest du im Firmware Archiv unter 2020, TPM191E.

      Welche Firmware hast du jetzt drauf? Die 88er oder eine Ältere? Das wäre dann noch kein ATV 12. In diesem Fall würde ich nach der Installation einen Werksreset machen.

          Hallo, ich habe einen Philips 7304 Fernseher und nach dem automatischen Update ist der Fernseher auf dem Philips Logo hängen geblieben und jetzt lade ich eine pkg Datei auf den Fernseher hoch, aber es ist mehr als 1 Stunde her und der Bildschirm sagt immer noch „Software Upgrade in progress“. Wissen Sie, was zu tun ist?

            Ich habe festgestellt, dass die Datei upgrade_loader.pkg auf dem Flash-Laufwerk null Größe hatte, als ich sie wieder in den Computer einsteckte.

              @Xaver : ich habe am 9.7.2025 ein neues Update (TPM191E_R.211.000.092.200) per Internet auf meinen Philips 55OLED804/12 drauf gespielt, seitdem macht der Fernseher beim Starten allerdings nur noch Faxen. Sobald ich den Fernseher starte, erscheint das Philips Logo in der Mitte, dann der Banner AndroidTV und dann startet er das Prozedere von vorne. er

              Same problem here : 55 OLED804/12 , after restart TV shows philips logo and than a short Android startup bullets…

              @Xaver : did a reset firmware bring any help ?

                @ Toengel  could I just put in the USB stick with latest firmware download/extracted  from your archive under D:\TPM191E-R211.000.092.200autorun.upg and re-install this software from scratch ?

                Will this be ok ? Thx for your attention .

                    @Roger, Pavel …

                    If your TV is stuck in a bootloop, then you need an upgrade loader: file with the extension .pkg.
                    In the firmware archive you actually will find the firmware “TPM191E_211.000.088.000” for TPM191E boards. This is the previous firmware, the first firmware with ATV 12.
                    (Maybe Toengel will soon find an upgrade loader for the latest firmware …)

                    Read the description “Bootloop Recovery/Upgrade/Downgrade with Upgrade-Loader PKG” carefully. The procedure can be a little tricky, so you may have to try it several times before the TV reboots and installs the firmware.
                    If this does not work and the TV still hangs, then you can alternatively do an OBR: one button reset: How to do this is also described in the firmware archive at the very beginning.

                    As soon as one of the two variants has worked and the TV restarts, you can install the latest firmware “TPM191E_211.000.092.200” again manually. Or you can wait and check whether this is then offered to you via OTA.

                    In view of the errors that have occurred, I would recommend that you also perform a factory reset.

                      Hey , thanks for your guidance here. The TV is not stuck in a,bootloop maybe i did not explain it detailed . What happens at TV “on”:

                      1) Philips logo is displayed 10 seconds, this did not happen before upgrade.

                      2) Android startup colored bullet animo is displayed, about 15 seconds, also this did not happen before the upgrade.

                      3) TV starts ok. No special remarks

                      4) TV :off” => message ” shutti g down” or so never pappened before “upgrade”.

                      Hope this clears my previous posts.

                      Thx guys for helping …

                        @Roger

                        The startup behavior is normal for ATV 12 as soon as you restart Android. And you haven’t written anything about other problems.
                        If you press the red button too long when switching off, the TV shuts down the operating system. When restarting, Android will also restart, as you described. Try pressing the red button for a shorter time

                        I assume that you did not have ATV 12 firmware installed before? If this is the case and ATV 12 has now been installed for teh first time, I would strongly recommend a factory reset.
                        What this is has already been described here in this thread.
                        The reinstallation will of course take some time and the settings and saved items will be lost, but any errors will be corrected.

                          Thanks for your guidance.

                          @Uli, will look into “TVoff” sequence since this is google home assistant driven, just maybe the sequence is too long?

                          Will report back tomorrow :

                          1) factory reset

                          1b) test short button sequence TV “off”

                          2) re-install from USB

                          3) If this does not work….

                          4) downgrade just maybe?

                          Been there, seen before…

                          I whish Philios wouls let users decide “upgrade ot not” for their users, 99% is happy as it is.

                              @Roger:

                              I don’t use Google Home. But if your problem is just that it takes too long to switch on, then this is probably related to how Google Home transmits the signal to switch off and then triggers the shutdown of the operating system instead of going into standby.
                              However, I can’t say anything more about Google Home.
                              Irrespective of this, I would generally recommend a factory reset to prevent any other problems. However, if everything else is OK, you don’t need to install the latest firmware again. This is not necessary.

                                @Uli , you are spot on !  Tested some more , indeed the new TPM software allows a “long”pressed  switch off  button to completelety shutdown the TV instead of “sleep” mode. This is confirmed using the Philips remote.

                                Don’t think previous TPM firmware had this, never seen it happen ?

                                Problem : I have a logitech Harmony remote controlling amongst other the Philips TV, Surround Audio and decoder.

                                I tested the Logitech remote  “all off” command: even given a “short push” command results in complete shutdown of Philips TV.

                                Problem found , but solution ? Downgrade TPM firmware to R201.000.248.230 ? But than I will keep getting messages ” please upgrade”….

                                Google assistant commands seem to work better, TV goes to “sleep”. Sometimes TV still goes into shutdown .

                                In my opinion , Philips has put the timing of Power off /Sleep commands via the on/off button  to close to each other, they should make Power off=>shutdown timing at least 5 sec hold pressed the on/off button.

                                Maybe @Toengel can give his opinion here?

                                  Now I have tried to modify the “Power off” command in the Logitech Harmony elite settings.

                                  Power off command instead of 0.5 sec changed to 0.0 sec (nothing in between can be put in ) and “learned” Logitech remote from Philips remote to send a short button press = Power off (sleep)  . This seems to work. At least for now.

                                  So Logitech remote users , modify the TV device settings for Power on power off in your Logitech setup and lower the duration for Power off.  I also added an additional Logitech command Sleep for the device TV in case Power off still gives me issues.

                                  Thanks Uli for pointing me in the right direction and where to look .

                                  Grtz
