Danke für die Antwort, aber leider bin ich jetzt noch mehr verwirrt. Im Artikel steht doch als Weg 1 um an ein Update-Kit zu kommen:

Man organisiert sich ein funktionierendes Mainboard der Serien 5501, 6401 oder 6501 (je nachdem, ob man einen R1-, R2- oder R3-Umbau macht) und baut dies selbst ein. Das Mainboard muss am Ende noch programmiert werden. Die notwendige Software (NVM + EED Dumps) kann man im Internet finden oder man fragt einfach mal beim Philips Service an (siehe auch BUG 2 unten im Abschnitt zu 3D).

Also sollte für meinen Fall ein Mainboard der 5501er-Serie passen. Mit ‘passen’ meine ich die interne Verdrahtung, also Einschalter, Stromplatine, Ambilight, Panel, usw. Ich meine also nicht, ob das Board schön ins Gehäuse passt! Wenn dem nicht so wäre, würde der gesamte Punkt 1 unter “Wie erhält man das Hardware-Upgrade-Kit?” doch nicht passen. Oder was verstehe ich da falsch?

Und im Anschluss nehm ich dann die NVM/EED die zum neuen Mainboard (aus der 5501er-Serie) passt und spiele das neu auf?!

1) ja, ich meinte, dass ich nicht weiß, ob die internen Anschlüsse passen
2) nein, du brauchst spezielle NVM/EED die dem neuen Mainboard mitteilt, dass alte 8xx9-Hardware angesprochen wird (bspw. was für ein Panel hinterlegt ist, welche AL-Hardare verbaut ist, etc…)

Hello Alex,

it’s been a long time that I follow your blog and now I may need your help.
I have a TV 49PUS7170/12, upgraded in 49PUS7170/R2 since january 2018. I had a lot of troubles since the upgrade (lost 4K resolution, HDR sometimes work, other times wont), I managed to solve them, mainly since the Oreo update, but one of them is still here and for me it is by far the worst: the 3D function is not working since the R2 upgrade. I’ve tried with my Xbox One X on all HDMI ports and the 3D function on the xbox settings menu is unavailable. The 3D menu on the TV settings is still here but the 3D is not working properly.
I think that I have the same problems that MareLeVlad has.
I tried to contact the Philips Support to have the last NVM/EED files but no answer from them.
Is it possible for you to send me the last NVM/EED files by email?
Maybe I will manage to solve once and for all the 3D problem with them. And if not, at least I can help to solve this with Vlad or others 3D fans.

Sadly, It doesn’t work like it should. The 3D mode is back on the Xbox One X at last, I’ve tried with Blu-ray 3D movies, on HDMI 1 & 2, the 3D mode of the TV activates and…it is flat. No 3D effect at all, like MareleVlad said, it’s like the TV combines 2 times the same picture. Like if you had only the picture for the Left eye in double, and no Right eye picture.

The HDR10 mode of the Xbox One X can’t be activated anymore but I don’t care so much, the HDR mode on the Apple TV 4K still works.
The 2D to 3D menu still missing, but I don’t care either.

I will continue to investigate here and across various forums about these issues, Let’s hope that it will be solved one day…

you cannot do anything… it’s a firmware issue… the firmware is just broken… and I think, there is no interest from Philips to fix that…

Kann man beim 7600/R3 die Bildberechnung von Pixel Plus Ultra HD auf das vorherige Pixel Precise Ultra HD umstellen durch einspielen veränderter NVM-Programmierung?

Could you please help me to undertand the difference between two models of remote controls: YKF384-T05 and YKF384-T05A ?

I know they both are from models of 2016r year with voice search, but what is the difference?

the upgrade kit comes with a new IR receiver… so only IR remotes will work…

This is not quite right. I was able to upgrade my 7600 to 6501 (from ebay, not upgrade kit), update it to 6581 by correct option code and pair it with YKF384-T05 remote. Voice search (and backward qwerty keyboard) works with no problem. It’s interesting, will this work with YKF384-T05A (and YKF384-T06) as well

2) why did you use the “6581” instead of 7600/R3?

Because voice search is available only for 6581, 7601, 8601 and 8901. I tried to setup my TV as PUS7101 (by correct option code as well) and was not able to pair it with YKF384-T05 remote. Probably some restrictions on software level or something else.

7601, 8601 and 8901 are very different to my initial 55PUS7600, so only one choice here is 6581.
