@Tomi marks the movie once watched, or it is possible to manually mark, but it can not synch over multiple devices. But I do not care about marking them, I am glad, that it plays DolbyVision without an issue :) I use this for multiple years already and no issues at all.

I flashed back to Android TV 12 for now, it was not watchable at all on WiFi, everything freezes and lags…

On Android TV 12, every ethernet adapter worked well from these – what I have – each of these chips are OK on ATV12:
AXAGON ADE-TXCA – AX88179A
AXAGON ADE-25R – RTL8156B
AXAGON ADE-SR – RTL8153 – this work well for multiple years, until this ATV14
Interlook S3J-8153 – RTL8153

I am very sad about the ATV14 and I hope that it is just a bug and not a removal of an official Google Android TV feature by Philips as support said… until now, I was very satisfied with Philips TVs, had more pieces over the last 10 years… but if this is, so they lost me at all.

Jetzt habe ich einen vermutlichen neuen Bug gefunden.

Unter dem Punkt App Udates zeigte der OLED heute ein angebliches Update allerdings ohne eine App zum Update zu finden. Heute Abend zeigt er jetzt 2 App Updates an und findet diese Apps nicht.

das hab ich unter ATV12 auch. Schon seit ich den TV habe zeigt er 3 Updates an. Sind aber keine da, zeigt er 4 an, gibt es ein Update…

Nach Werkreset hat das “Kurz-Menü” wieder funktioniert, aber nachdem ich alles wieder eigerichtet hab geht es nicht mehr. Puh, hab eig. jetzt nicht so viel verändert. Aber irgendwas hats zerschossen. Weiß nicht obs wert ist das zu identifizieren…

Update my 718/12 TV.

Had a problem with Android 12, where after watching content at 25/50fps the UI slows down a lot. Installing Shizuku i can see the FPS get capped at 40fps. It goes back to normal after watching anything at 24/30/60fps. Can replicate every single time with no exception for a year now. Was praying that Google TV 14 would help with that, but it didn’t. The only TV I have ever used that does this. Oh well.

If someone has a solution for this I pay money for it! I swear!

The only thing I notice in GTV14 is that now I can update an app and still use the TV at the same time. Before the stutter was unbelievable.

mit “Android TV ADB Maus” kann ich im kurz-Menü zwar klicken… die “OK” Taste beim steuerkreuz (gleiche app) geht wiederum nicht :/

so war es bei mir auch Cursor hoch/runter ging, aber OK nicht – Werksreset hat bei mir geholfen.

@tWoBrO How do you install Shizuku exactly? Do you run it on your phone and then connect to the TV using wireless ADB?

tWoBrO report it as a bug to Philips rather than offering money here… They might even fix it for others :D

No. Side load the apk on the TV. Shizuku + TakoStats.

@tWoBrO I know, I am just genuinely impressed that this bug has been going for years unnoticed so probably you are one of the few ppl that use these settings and Philips has no idea it’s happening. So if you reach out to them, they might fix it… or not :D

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Q: Is there also an update for the RC, still having v1.39, which’s not communicating a lot e.g. about battery level, etc. thus I disabled BT, because no need then.</p>

Stefan! My usb lan does not work… but its interesting that it says wired lan but does not get ip address and you can not force it 2 do anything…
