      I use this one: https://allegro.pl/oferta/certyfikowany-kabel-hdmi-2-1-8k-4k-earc-premium-ps5-144hz-2m-11459906084. This cable is certified, there is a sticker on the packaging and after scanning the qr code the certificate is visible from the app. This is already the 2nd cable. Before this I used this one: https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/kabel-hdmi-2-1-high-speed-4k-8k-60hz-uhd-hdr-3d-2m-i12797444600.html

      Changing to 120hz or 60hz didn’t help. And since the TV doesn’t support g-sync hardware as it turns out, why does NVIDIA detect it as g-sync compatible?

        Its a Freesync TV, its just Nvidia calling that G-Sync compatible.

        Your cable is fine. But with <40 fps you are going outside of the TVs VRR range (40-144hz), that might explain the flicker. Since TV turns G-Sync off outside that range which results in that flicker i guess.

        I will do some testing later.

        Is the TV even officially listed in any of Nvidias G-Sync compatible lists?

          On the NVIDIA website, the Philips OLED is described from 2024 as being completely g-sync compatible.

            The table supposedly shows OLED models from 2024, so mine is included.

              Interesting, Nvidia says the range is 48-144hz. But the TVs manual (and its settings i guess) says 40-144hz. So might be Philips is a bit overestimated their VRR range resulting in that blackscreens.

              You could try change the VRR range with CRU to what Nvidia specified this TVs, 48-144hz.

                Hmm for me the VRR range was set correctly to 48-120hz in CRU (im using 120hz since i “removed” 144hz profile).

                (CRU -> Philips UHDTV -> Extension Blocks -> Display ID1.3 -> detailed resolutions -> deleted 4K 144K)

                Also i cannot really reproduce your issue, ive launched a game with G-Sync enabled and started lowering the fps with RTSS. No black screens even not at 10fps.

                  Hallo in die Runde, hoffe, ich störe Euren netten Dialog nicht und es geht hier nicht nur um Euch.

                  Ansonsten solltet Ihr telefonieren.

                  Habe auch mal ne Frage, bin nämlich zuhause zurück und lese hier von neuer Firmware.

                  Mein 65OLED808 sagt mir aber, dass keine neue Software vorhanden ist.

                  Bitte, bitte, bitte, bitte, bitte, wie ist der aktuelle Stand.

                  Danke

                    Hello everyone, I hope I’m not interrupting your pleasant conversation and this isn’t just about you. Otherwise, you should call. I also have a question. I’m back home and reading about new firmware here. My 65OLED808 tells me there’s no new software available. Please, please, please, please, what’s the current status? Thanks

                      @Camper

                      Habe noch keinen gesehen bei dem ein OTA Update verfügbar war, wir alle haben das hier ausm Archiv runtergeladen & mit USB Stick installiert. Glaube langsam das der Firmware Leak nur eine Beta Version ist & wir Testkaninchen spielen :D

                      Aber ja, hast du Probleme mitm TV? Z.b. Ruckler beim Video gucken? Wenn keine Probleme verpasst du mit dem Update nichts wirklich. Offiziell verfügbar ists eh noch nicht.

                        Did you test it only while playing or when the game was loading? It happens to me when loading a level, menu, for example in Fortnite, then Hz drops to 40. I thought that if I turn on the variable option Did you test it only while playing or when the game was loading? It happens to me when loading a level, menu, for example in Fortnite, then Hz drops to 40. Perhaps it’s also the fault of the graphics drivers, maybe I should also do factory settings because I haven’t done it even once, even though I’ve had the TV since February.

                          The firmware link I installed was sent to me by Polish support via email, so it’s probably not a beta version (although judging by its capabilities, it seems more like an alpha ;)). I didn’t use the file shared here on the blog…
