Philips TV: Neue Hue Bridge Pro (Signify) funktioniert nicht mit Ambilight+Hue (TP Vision)

die Besitzer der neuen Hue Bridge Pro von Signify werden es bestimmt schon mitbekommen haben: sie wird nicht von Philips TVs gefunden – also den Philips TV-Geräten, die diese Funktion noch hatten bzw. haben.
Die Kopplung von Hue-Lampen mit dem Philips Ambilight TVs wurde im 2011er Jahrgang eingeführt – damals noch via extra App (“Ambilight+Hue”- bzw. “New Ambilight+Hue”-App). Ab den 2014er Jahrgang wurde diese Funktion direkt in den TV-Geräten integriert . Da war die Bridge 1.0 von Hue noch Stand der Technik. Später wurde nur noch die Hue Bridge 2.0 unterstützt. Hinzu kam, dass sowohl die Philips TVs und Hue über die Zeit nicht mehr “einem Konzern” angehören. Philips TVs gibt es in Europa nur noch von TP Vision und die Lichtsparte von Philips wurde zu Signify.
2022 war der letzte Jahrgang, der überhaupt Ambilight+Hue integriert hatte. Dafür kam die Hue-Integration für Fernseher von Samsung und LG via (kostenpflichtiger) TV-App.
Jetzt ist also die Hue Bridge Pro da. Liebhaber von Ambilight+Hue (also die, die noch so einen TV besitzen) sollten eine Kombination aus Bridge Pro und Bridge 2.0 in ihrem Netzwerk in Betracht ziehen. Ich gehe nicht davon aus, dass die alten TV-Modelle ein Update für die neue Bridge Pro bekommen. Aber ggf. kommt ja in den kommenden Jahrgängen wieder eine Ambilight+Hue-Implementierung, die dann nur die Bridge Pro unterstützt… aber genaues weiß man natürlich nicht ;-)

I’d like to clarify that older Philips Ambilight TVs are unfortunately not compatible with light syncing on Bridge Pro. This limitation is due to the fact that Bridge Pro exclusively supports HTTPS connections, whereas many legacy Ambilight TVs rely on HTTP.
This change is driven by compliance with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), Article 3.3, which mandates manufacturers to implement safeguards that:
Prevent misuse of network resources,
Protect user data,
Block fraudulent activities such as device cloning.
As a result, Bridge Pro does not support unsecured HTTP connections.
Please note that we do not have influence over non-Hue integrations, including those from third-party manufacturers. To enable compatibility with Bridge Pro, the software on these TVs would need to be updated to support HTTPS communication towards Bridge Pro.
