Philips Hue: Support-Ende der ersten Hue-Bridge

wer noch eine Philips Hue-Bridge der ersten Generation (diese ist rund) nutzt, sollte über ein Upgrade nachdenken. Nach über sieben Jahren wird in Kürze die Unterstützung für die Hue-Zentrale eingestellt und es kommt zu Einschränkungen des Hue-Systems.
Im Herbst 2012 wurde Philips Hue auf den Markt gebracht . Damals noch exklusiv über den Apple Store. Dort bekam man das erste Starterset mit Bridge und drei 600 Lumen E27 Lampen für 199 Euro. Inzwischen ist das System Marktführer im Bereich der der smarten Beleuchtung und überall erhältlich.
Philips Hue Starter Set – Erste Generation 2012 Im April 2013 berichtete ich damals schon, dass daran gearbeitet wurde, Philips Hue mit den Philips TVs zu verbinden. Im Juli 2013 war es dann soweit und die ersten Philips TVs konnten ab bestimmten Firmware-Versionen via spezieller App mit dem Hue-System verbunden werden .
Nachdem die erste Hue-Bridge bereits 4 Jahre auf dem Markt war, kam 2016 die zweite Generation der Bridge – diesmal in quadratischer Form. Diese unterstützte u.a. Apple Homekit. Auch war die neue Bridge für die Zukunft besser aufgestellt und ist auch heute noch aktuell.
So ist es durchaus normal, dass ältere Produktversionen ein Support-Ende haben. Die erste Bridge wird nach dem 30. April 2020 keine Updates mehr erhalten und ihre Online-Funktionalität beraubt. Das heißt, dass u.a. keine Steuerung von Unterwegs mehr möglich ist. Nichtsdestotrotz lässt sich die alte Bridge weiterhin lokal nutzen. Es kann jedoch nicht mehr garantiert werden, dass neue Hue-Komponenten sich einbinden lassen, zumal keine Lampe ohne Online-Funktion mehr aktualisiert werden kann.

Nach dem 30. April 2020 werden keine Softwareupdates für die Hue Bridge Version 1 mehr zur Verfügung gestellt und die Kompatibilität mit unseren Online-Diensten wird beendet. Die Hue Bridge Version 1 kann nur über die spezielle Philips Hue Bridge Version 1 App lokal gesteuert werden.
Für die Steuerung der ersten Hue-Bridge gibt es eine spezielle App-Version von Signify (ehemals Philips Lighting). Sowohl im Google Play Store als auch im Apple Store .
Für die Nutzer der ersten Bridge-Generation ist es also Zeit auf die zweite Generation zu wechseln. Die neue Bridge gibt es sowohl einzeln , als auch in diversen Starter Sets .
