Philips hat eine neue Firmware für TV-Modelle /-Fernseher der 2015er Serien 71×0, 7600 und 8700 veröffentlicht, die HEVC bei den TV-Tunern freischaltet. Damit ist der Empfang von UHD-Sender über SAT und DVB-T2 in Deutschland möglich. Das Update gibt es aber nicht an gewohnter Stelle.
Bereits in der Vergangenheit hatte ich über inoffizielle Firmware Dateien berichtet, die die HEVC-Funktionalität freischalten: Version 5.38.41 und 6.0.5 . Letztere wurde nun veröffentlicht.
Das Update ist jedoch nur in den jeweiligen FAQ der Support-Webseiten der betroffenen TV-Modellen verfügbar:
Kann der Fernseher UHD/HEVC Kanäle empfangen?
Ja. Um UHD/HEVC Kanäle zu empfangen, laden sie bitte die weiter unten bereitgestellte Software herunter und installieren sie diese auf ihrem Fernseher.
Stecken sie einen leeren USB Stick an den USB Anschluss ihres Computers
Rufen sie an ihremComputer den unten bereitgestellten Weblink auf
Laden sie sich die .ZIP Datei auf ihren USB Stick herunter
Entpacken sie die .ZIP Datei mit einem Packprogramm. Sie finden im Ordner eine autorun.upg, schneiden sie diese aus und legen sie die Datei in das Stammverzeichnis des USB Sticks (nicht in einen Ordner)
Werfen sie den USB Stick aus und entfernen sie ihn vom Computer
Entfernen sie alle angeschlossene USB Geräte vom Fernseher ( z.B. Festplatten oder Wifi-Dongle)
Schließen sie den Software USB Stick an den USB Anschluss des Fernsehers an
Das Software Update startet nun von alleine
Das Update ist beendet, wenn der Fernseher ihnen eine entsprechende Benachrichtung anzeigt
Trennen sie dann den USB Stick vom Fernseher ab
Drücken sie einmal die EIN/AUS“ Taste auf der Fernbedienung um den Fernseher auszuschalten
Der Fernseher schaltet von selbst wieder ein. Das Update ist damit abgeschlossen.
Um ein versehentliches Softwareupdate zu vermeiden, schließen sie bitte den USB Stick wieder an den Computer an und löschen sie die autorun.upg
