Der weltweit größte Video-on-Demand-Anbieter Netflix hält jetzt auch Einzug in die deutschen, österreichischen und schweizer Wohnzimmer. Der Startschuss für den kostenpflichtigen Streamingdienst ist für September geplant. Nutzer können so Filme und Serien zu jeder gewünschten Zeit auf unterschiedlichen Geräten genießen – unabhängig vom Fernsehprogramm. Netflix bietet darüber hinaus auch sehr erfolgreiche Eigenproduktionen, wie preisgekrönte Serien oder exklusive Filme, mit hochkarätiger Star-Besetzung. Der Service ist via Smartphone, Tablet, Konsole, PC, Set-Top Box und Smart TV-Plattformen nutzbar.

Ein Nachtrag von mir. Die oben gelisteten Geräte sind nur eine Auswahl. Man kann schnell überprüfen, ob ein Gerät Netflix-ready ist. Dazu einfach in die Software-Information im Konfigurationsmenü gehen. Wenn dort irgendwas mit Netflix steht (ESN), dann sollte das Gerät Netflix-fähig sein.
