bei bestimmten Philips TV Serien (ab 2019) kann man – wenn der TV Problem macht – zu der vorherigen Softwareversion zurückwechseln. Die dafür notwendige Prozedur nennt man One Button Reset (OBR):
TV-Gerät ausschalten (vom Stromnetz trennen)
Joystick auf der Unter-/Rückseite in die UNTEN-Position drücken und halten
während der Joystick weiterhin gedrück/gehalten wird, TV wieder mit Strom versorgen
Warten, bis die LED-Blinkprozedur einsetzt (die LED blinkt einige Sekunden lang in schneller Folge) oder bis das TV-Gerät anfängt hochzufahren
Joystick loslassen
Das TV-Gerät wird nun neu starten und eine Neuinstallation auslösen
Alternativ ist die Installation des upgrade_loader.pkg für die jeweilige TV-Plattform.
Hintergrund: Bei den unterstützten TV-Serien gibt es zwei Partitionen, auf denen die Android Firmware vorhanden ist. Dies ist auch der Grund, warum nur so wenig Speicher für Apps zur Verfügung steht. Beispiel (sehr grob beschrieben): Bei einem TV wird 16 GB Speicher angegeben. Zwei Partitionen: je 8 GB. Jede Partition: 5 GB für Android-Installation + 3 GB “Restspeicher” für Apps. Der Nutzer sieht nur jeweils eine Partition und wundert sich, warum nur so wenig Speicher von 16 GB übrig ist.
