Philips 2021: Zwei neue Android Hardware-Plattformen

wer sich die letzten vier Jahre der High-End-Plattformen der Philips Android-TV-Geräte anschaut, wird sehen, dass immer zwei Jahrgänge sich die (fast identische) Hardware-Plattform teilen:
2017/2018er Androiden (TPM171 Firmware)
2019/2020er Androiden (TPM191 Firmware)
Usprünglich haben die jeweiligen Jahrgänge immer unterschiedliche Firmware-Versionen, werden aber im zweiten Jahr vereinheitlicht.
Bereits im Juni letzten Jahres hatte ich berichtet, dass die 2021 und 2022er Androiden einen neuen High-End-Chip von Mediatek bekommen. Wie sich so langsam herauskristalisiert, wird es aber bei dieser Plattform nicht bleiben.
Die High-End Androiden werden ein Derivat (also mit leichten Anpassungen) des aktuellen Mediatek-Flaggschiffs MT9950 bekommen: MT9970A . Dieser hat u.a. folgende Features:

Neben dieser Plattform kommt noch eine Mid-Segment Android Line-Up, welches auf dem Mediatek MT9602 (auch bekannt als T32 ) basiert:

Diese Plattform soll u.a. in den höheren 7000er Serien wie den 7806er und 7906er zum Einsatz kommen. So wie ich in Erfahrung bringen konnte, ist diese Android-Plattform auch mehr standardisiert. Das heißt, dass nur wenige Variationen möglich sind und Google die Images zur Verfügung stellt. Änderungen werden demnach zur Freigabe an Google übermittelt. Vorteilhaft kann dies in Bezug auf schnelle Problemlösungen und Zertifizierungen sein.
Für mich persönlich sieht es so aus, dass – falls diese Mid-Segment-Plattform kommen sollte – man ein wenig Abstand von Saphi in diesem Segment nimmt. Das SmartTV is schon sehr eingeschränkt und man wäre mit der Android-TV-Plattform hier viel flexibler – so wäre damit u.a. auch Disney+ möglich, was unter Saphi nicht verfügbar ist. Nichtsdestotrotz wird es weiterhin Saphi-TVs geben.
Offiziell bestätigt ist dies alles natürlich nicht.
