Berlin, 30. August 2018 – Der neue Philips OLED803 OLED803 sowohl beim Bild als auch beim Sound klare und eindeutige Verbesserungen gegenüber seinem Vorgänger. Eine Tatsache, die auch durch die Verleihung des prestigeträchtigen EISA Awards als Best Buy OLED TV 2018-2019 bestätigt wurde. Der High-End-TV zeigt die Vorteile der neuesten OLED-Technologie und bestätigt in der Kombination mit der 2. Generation der Philips P5 Perfect Picture Engine und dem einzigartigen dreiseitigen Ambilight seinen Anspruch auf eine neue Referenz bei der Bildqualität und eines unvergleichlichen TV-Erlebnisses. Das weiterentwickelte OLED-Display des Jahres 2018 zeichnet sich durch veränderte Subpixel sowie eine neue reflexionsmindernde Beschichtung aus. Es ermöglicht eine noch bessere Wiedergabe von Schwarztönen sowie eine, verglichen mit OLED-TVs des Jahres 2017, um über 10 Prozent gesteigerte Maximalhelligkeit von 1.000 Nit. Die hohe Helligkeit und die OLED-typische optimale Wiedergabe von tiefstem Schwarz bewirken einen herausragenden Kontrastumfang. Dieser ist Voraussetzung, um das volle Potential von HDR-Inhalten nutzen zu können. TP Vision ist übrigens der dritte Hersteller, der sich der HDR10+ Allianz angeschlossen hat. Der OLED803 wird eines der ersten Philips TV-Modelle mit HDR10+ Wiedergabe sein. Inhalte, die mit High Dynamic Range (HDR10 oder HLG) angeboten werden, erlauben es dem Fernseher nicht nur, einen größeren Kontrastumfang mit tieferem Schwarz und hellerem Weiß wiederzugeben. Sondern sie ermöglichen zudem auch eine höhere Maximalhelligkeit und eine größere Farbpalette. Die neue HDR10+ Version ist rückwärtskompatibel mit HDR10 und fügt dem Signal dynamische Metadaten hinzu, womit Kontrast und Farben jetzt für jedes einzelne Bild optimiert werden können. HDR10+ erlaubt eine noch originalgetreuere Wiedergabe des ursprünglichen Materials, ohne dass Details in dunklen Bildbereichen verloren gehen oder es zum Clipping bei hellen Szenen kommt. Trotz allem wird in der näheren Zukunft der überwiegende Anteil von Inhalten nur SDR (Stand Dynamic Range) anstelle von HDR (High Dynamic Range) bieten, weshalb Philips TV eine neue, exklusive Technologie entwickelt hat: Perfect Natural Reality . Die zweite Generation des P5 Chips beinhaltet diese neue „Perfect Natural Reality “-Technologie zur Kontrastanhebung, bei der ein hochentwickelter, intelligenter Algorithmus zum Einsatz kommt, der mit den bekannten Systemen des P5 zur lokalen und globalen Kontrastverbesserung zusammenarbeitet. Kontinuierlich errechnet „Perfect Natural Reality “ auf welche Weise die Qualität des Quellsignals, die Helligkeit, Schärfe und Kontrastwiedergabe verbessert werden müssen, um SDR-Inhalten die gleiche Wiedergabequalität zu geben wie HDR-Inhalten. Dank „Perfect Natural Reality “ werden Details sichtbar, die auf Geräten von Wettbewerbern – inklusive OLED-Modellen – verloren gehen. Perfect Natural Reality erschafft somit erheblich realistischere Bilder mit einer besseren Tiefenwiedergabe. Besserer Sound Um dem neuen Niveau der Bildqualität zu entsprechen, wurde auch die Klangqualität des OLED803 weiterentwickelt. Der Langhub-Triple-Ring-Subwoofer wurde vergrößert und wird jetzt durch zwei passive Radiatoren für tiefen, kraftvollen und präzisen Bass unterstützt. Die nach unten gerichteten Mitten- und Hochtöner wurden gegenüber dem Vorgängermodell durch größere Mittentöner und separate Soft-Dome-Tweeter ausgetauscht, was eine bessere Stereowirkung, höhere Sprachverständlichkeit sowie geringere Klangverfälschungen zur Folge hat. Als Betriebssystem kommt Android TV zum Einsatz, was in Verbindung mit dem schnellen Quad-Core-Prozessor und 16 GB erweiterbarem Speicher einen hohen Bedienkomfort und schnellste Reaktionen verspricht. Der OLED803 wird mit der Version Android N auf den Markt kommen und in naher Zukunft ein Softwareupgrade auf Android O erhalten. Dieses bietet eine neue Bedienoberfläche und die Integration des Google Assistant, was es Nutzern erlaubt, ihre kompatiblen Smart Home-Geräte über das Mikrofon der TV-Fernbedienung zu steuern. Das Softwareupgrade wird auch die Kompatibilität mit Amazon Alexa sowie einen neu entwickelten Amazon Skill bringen, um Philips Android TVs auf diese Weise bedienen zu können. Der OLED803 zeigt sich mit einem minimalistischen Design, wozu ein superschlanker Rahmen in gebürstetem Metall-Finish sowie zwei dünne, horizontale Metallfüße gehören, die rechtwinklig zum Bildschirm stehen. Das extrem dünne Display erlaubt die nahezu übergangslose Verbindung des Bildschirms mit dem dreiseitigen Ambilight, was ein einmaliges TV-Erlebnis erschafft. Der OLED803 kommt zum Zeitpunkt der IFA auch in den Handel und wird mit den unverbindlichen Preisempfehlungen von 3.299 Euro (65OLED803) und 2.299 Euro (55OLED803) angeboten werden.
