Philips 58PFL9955: Fehlende Bildinhalte? (Update 2)

gerade läuft im ZDF Bank Job . Ich schaue auf meinem Philips 58PFL9955 über digitales Kabel (also nutze ZDF HD) und kann mich über die gesendete Qualität nicht beschweren. Nebenbei habe ich mit den Zoom-Funktionen rumgespielt. Da die Sendequell digital vorliegt, gibt es auch die Zoom-Einstellung “Nicht skaliert”. Das sie so aus (sorry für die schlechte Foto-Qualität):
Zoom mode: unscaled Man beachte auf dem obigen Bild den Abstand links vom ZDF-Logo zum schwarzen Rand!
Nun das ganz im normalen 16:9-Modus:
Zoom mode: 16:9 Auch hier beachte man den Abstand links vom ZDF-Logo zum schwarzen Rand! Wenn meine Augen mich nicht täuschen, fehlt hier einiges an Bildinformation .
Auch in den anderen Zoom-Modi ist der Abstand links vom Logo kleiner als im unskaliert dargestellten Videobild .
Maximal sichtbare Größe:

Warum wir im Vergleich zum unskalierten Modus (das vom Sender zur Verfügung gestellte Bild) in allen Zoom-Modi links und rechts leicht das Bild abgeschnitten? Ich kann verstehen, wenn du Zoom-Funktionen oben und unten was abgeschnitten wird, aber links und rechts? Hier nochmal zur Verdeutlichung:
Zoom mode: unscaled vs. 16:9 Ich habe das gleiche Verhalten beim Abspielen einer Blu-ray mit meinem BDP9600 nachvollziehen können! Es wird vom unskalierten Bild links und rechts etwas abgeschnitten in allen Zoom-Modi!

Nach den Informationen in den Kommentaren (Danke!) scheint dies ein Überbleibsel aus analogen Zeiten zu sein und wird als Overscan (auch Underscan) bezeichnet. Eigentlich nicht notwendig bei digitalen Bildsignalen wie Blu-ray…
Update 2:
OK, den Overscan kann man ja gut einstellen am TV. Bei mir war der Wert auf 9 (von maximal 10) eingestellt, was natürlich schon einiges an Bildinformationen schluckt. Ändern kann man dieses Verhalten unter (natürlich nur, wenn nicht der “unskaliert”-Modus gerade aktiv ist):
