Da stehen in paar Fakten drin.

Wäre mal was wenn Philips vorn dabei wäre…

In fairness, the only major difference will be the near black flashing problem. The current line up already allows 4k 120hz at 4:4:4 chroma. Of course now you will also get this across 4 hdmi ports.

Hopefully this speeds up the interface however the SOC will be likely coupled with the cheapest cpu and least amount of ram that they can get away with

@Furio2–5: that is only partly true. You can ONLY get the full 4K res with 120HzVRR when you use Monitor Mode. In this mode however pretty much every picture setting, even the simple color or sharpness settings are disabled which let’s it look worse than the regular Gaming Mode. Also in Monitor Mode, at least when used with PS5, in some scenarios you get green flash artifacts during game loading in menus. All this is finally a thing of the past as it will be possible to get the full res also in Gaming Mode with the new Pentonic 1000 Chip which is a BIG step-up!

“You can ONLY get the full 4K res with 120HzVRR when you use Monitor Mode.”
Und das auch nicht mal beim 77″ Modell 807. :(

From what I read in a review, the current x07 line-up only supports 4K@120 in Monitor Mode WITHOUT VRR, If you want VRR, you loose full resolution.

Also, the high-end 937 series does not even do this, because of limitations in the dual processor AI configuration as I saw in an interview with the Philips product manager on HDTV Test.

@ the other Maurice: that’s not correct. The current x07 Models (except the 77″) do support full res 4K120 with VRR in Monitor Mode.

    Regarding the 937 that’s correct.

Anyway, 808 series will fix all of this with the Pentonic 1000 and will finally be a proper Choice for gamers!

@Maurice: Strange. The Dutch site tweakers.net who reviewed the 55 inch 807 model says this (link changed to httpx, otherwise it won’t let me post):

    httpx://tweakers.net/reviews/10736/4/philips-oled807-de-ultieme-oled-tv-gaming-en-hfr.html

The bottom paragraph says VRR won’t work in Monitor Mode.

The guy who wrote the review is usually very knowledgable about these things.

@ Maurice: I have renamed me to MauriceB now as it’s otherwise too confusing which Maurice wrote what :D

In that case the dutch reviewer has no clue and is deadly wrong. VRR definitely works on 807 Models in Monitor Mode.

    Tachchen,
