    Hi,

    HDR10+ is available since summer 2018 for 8303, 8503, OLED803 and OLED903…

Other models do not support HDR10+

    Toengel@Alex

Thanks. Then I need to contact Philips support right away. I have some HDR10+ content and it’s definitely displayed as just “HDR”.

    Hi,

if you mean the overlay “HDR Signal”… it is always “HDR Signal” – independent of the HDR codec. So, it’s the same for HLG, HDR10, HDR10+… not a bug, but a feature…

Still, something is wrong with my set. When playing HDR10+ BD, in my Oppo “playback info” you can see “HDR” as a format being currently displayed. Same player, disk…etc.. in a Panasonic HDR10+ compatible tv and you see “HDR10+” in the that same menu..
Unless limitations I’m not aware of, this does not make sense…

@ Stefan , wo siehst du Dolby Vision beim Apple Tv. Nur in Beschreibungen der Filme ?

HDR10+ is not working on the HDMI inputs.

LOL…that can’t be true….but sadly makes sense now.

So no HDR10+ via HDMI, only internal player I assume, and no “HDR10+” “overlay text/logo” shown in any case….heck…that’s a true act of faith! Philips needs to fix this….

    Hi,

from specification point-of-view, this is not a bug… so I don’t think, this will ever be “fixed”…

    @ JC,
do you see any big difference in the picturequality on “your Panasonic TV” if you see this film with HDR10+ or without HDR10+.

I mean, when i see an HDR10+ series with the internal Amazon app or i see the same series with my apple TV without HDR10+ – i dont see any differnece.

So in my oppinion HDR10+ is only really visible if you have 2 TVs side by side.

I don’t have them side by side, so difficult to say. Anyhow, it’s more a matter misleading information and the way the brand reacts to customers in these situations that annoys me…..you have a bunch of videos/info promoting the benefits of HDR10+ with P5 processor and nobody telling you this capability is limited to the internal player….and we should have known that…right. And again, the HDR10+, was one of the key characteristics in the 803/903 advertising….

I still recommend the 803 for its picture quality and overall performance but I hope someone at Philips understands this is not helping rebuilding the trust in the market. What can we expect in regards of the DV & HDR10+ implementation in the upcoming 804 ? Who knows…
