    Hi,

I’ve got the same problem with my 55po9002 and the changes of brightness in the display in films. When the image is too dark for a few minutes the image loses brightness, and if suddenly the image changes to another with more bright, the display get this brightness again y during one second you can notice this transition, the display lights up with the brightnees it need.

Is there any solution fo this?.

Roll back to a earlier firmware version … and pray that A10 will be better and arrive soon

This bug happens with almost several newest firmwares, I think Philips introduced something by hardware to avoid burns, but it works very bad. The only thing that I have thought is to roll back to a old firmware. With the first firmwares of TV (2017-2018) I didn’t notice this.

But I don’t know if introducing a firmware too old over a new one could cause problems on TV.

    Thanks, ;)

TO Pablo: I tried Stadia and nothing much. I use GeForce Now. Unfortunately, the sound is angry after the last update. I went back to the previous version od firmware and the sound is fine. Does the TV still offer me an update even though both addresses (authorize.nettvservices.com and firmware.nettvservices.com) are blocked in the modem? I do not know why?

    Funktioniert sehr gut.

    Hi all,

I have this weird problem with my PUS8102 and I cannot find anything similar online.

Since the last update, most of the picture settings are not working. I can only get the Contrast to work but whenever I change something in Brightness, Colors, Sharpness, or even in Gamma nothing changes at all. I have tried all different profiles, also the ISF ones trying aggressive color calibrations but the image remains exactly the same. I have tried the re-install TV option but the problem remained.

Is there a way to solve this?

Does anyone have any similar experience?

I would be very happy to return to a previous firmware if that solves it, does anyone have one to suggest that has generally been stable?

    Thank you.

To add to my previous message above, after the last Philips update I also noticed another problem.

The picture settings continue to not change anything when I am at the TV’s home page, HOWEVER when I enter an HDMI connected device (my Xbox) then the settings work fine. They managed to break something else though, the when the Xbox loads an HDR game the TV enters the HDR GAME picture setting. When at HDR GAME mode, the latency is the same as the other non-gaming modes which of course was not the case before. For instance, even the motion settings are unlocked on HDR GAME mode.

This is the first TV that I had ever bought and I am very disappointed by the behavior of Philips, since a great TV can turn into sh!t with a bad firmware implementation. I will think twice before buying Philips TVs in the future.

If you have any input on these and the abovementioned problems it will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

    Hi Toengel
Thank you for all your great work
Are you getting any info on why Philips is so slow on this built (TPM171E)

I would think that getting Android10 on their biggest selling older unit TPM171E would be top priority over smaller adjustments on the newer version already on A9

    Hi,

I think, they will release the 2021 TVs with ATV 10 first. Then older TVs will get ATV 10…

    Hi toengel,

I also wanted to thank you for your work.

It would be interesting if they solved via firmware the problem with the brightness adjustment in dark scenes, especially in movies. The screen, depending on which scenes, decreases the light too much and changes suddenly the brightness when the next scene comes to be bright again.

If this has been programmed to avoid burns, they have not found the solution, it is very annoying. At the very least, they would have to give the user a choice of power or not to activate it.

    Thanks again, ;)
