I also have the new version of the remote. It has a little green leaf above the green key and it is a bit lighter than the old remote.
Yes, it is the first remote which shows the battery level correctly.
The backlight works, but it is much weaker than it was with the old remote. You can only see the back light in a dark environment. In a bright room the back light is almost invisible. The back light of the old remote was much brighter!
The buttons for Prime, Netflix and Youtube are working fine.
The App button (lowest button on the right side) does not work at all, but actually I do not need it. So, I don’t care.
When pressing the App button on the old remote a message appears saying that “Die Funktion ist im derzeitigen Modus nicht verfügbar”. This means “function is not available in the current mode”. Actually I could not find any mode where this buttons does anything useful and it never worked before.
When pressing the App button on the new remote nothing happens at all. The remote is sending a signal to the TV as you can tell from the blinking LED of the TV, but the TV does not react to this signal. So, it’s still not working, but I also do not need this button and just recognized this now.
