Ich besitze den TV seit der ersten Woche nach dem Produkt-Launch und alle Bugs, welche ich noch für mich identifizieren kann bestehen seit Beginn. Da einige Sachen mit der Zeit schon spürbar verbessert und behoben wurden, war ich optimistisch, dass auch die restlichen Fehler, u.a. das Ambilight noch per Update ausgebügelt werden können.
Die Meisten sollten sich im Übrigen glücklich schätzen, dass sie die allererste Firmwareversion nicht erleben mussten... :)
Mehr oder minder unerwartet wurde dann vergangene Woche durch Philips ein Reparaturauftrag ausgelöst, weil man eben nach eingehender Prüfung nicht mehr ausschließen kann, dass nur die Software die Probleme auslöst.
Ich bin mittlerweile mit einem lokalen Servicecenter in Kontakt und die dortigen Techniker haben alle Bugs und Meldungen von mir nochmals unabhängig verifiziert, wobei sie auch Zugriff auf die Log-Daten des TV's hatten. Dieser Prozess funktionierte noch ohne jeglichen Termin bei mir. Im Servicecenter fand dann die Entscheidung darüber statt was getauscht und repariert werden muss und was vermutlich nur ein Softwareproblem ist.
Die komplette Reparatur inklusive Mainboard- und Ambilighttausch kann laut bisheriger Aussage problemlos innerhalb 1-2 Stunden bei mir zu Hause durchgeführt werden. Die Sorge vor einem Einschicken oder einer Abholung des TV's hatte ich ebenso, wobei mir diese relativ schnell vom lokalen Techniker genommen werden konnte.

Einen Versuch ist es auf jeden Fall wert.
Mein größtes Problem mit dem OLED908 ist, dass dieser in manchen Bereichen beeindruckend gut ist und sich vor keiner Konkurrenz verstecken braucht und selbst der beste TV anderer Hersteller ohne Ambilght für mich keine Option mehr wäre. Andererseits sind diverse Kinderkrankheiten und die Trägheit in den Updatezyklen unfassbar störend. Aber die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt... :)
