Ich besitze seit neuestem einen 43PUS8837/12, welchen ich extra für die Nutzung von VRR angeschafft habe.
Der TV wird als Bildschirm am PC mit RTX3080 betrieben, also mit GSync. Als Kabel nutze ich ein nicht zertifiziertes HDMI2.1 Kabel von Deleycon. Bild ist auf 4k, 120Hz, full RGB, 8bit eingestellt, ab 10bit hatte ich gelegentlich "Artefakte bzw lokale Blitze" auf dem Desktop.
Mein Problem ist allerdings, dass der TV trotz HDMI-Einstellung von "Optimal (automatischer Spielmodus)" nicht automatisch in diesen wechselt. Außerdem sieht das Bild, auf gut deutsch, bescheiden aus, wenn man manuell von "Monitor" auf "Spiel (VRR)" wechselt.
Wäre es in meinem Fall ratsam nochmal in ein zertifiziertes HDMI2.1 Kabel zu investieren, oder liegt die Limitierung am Gerät selbst und VRR ist in diesem eher ein PR-Gimmick als tatsächlich nutzbar?
PS, in der Bedienungsanleitung des PUS8807 wird explizit darauf hingewiesen, dass die Auflösung im Spielmodus intern auf 4k1k runterskaliert wird. Tritt dies möglicherweise auch beim 8837 auf, obwohl die entsprechende Passage in dessen Anleitung nicht existiert?
