Philips TV 2026: Unterstützung von Dolby Vision 2 in OLED TVs. MiniLEDs und LCDs

auf der IFA 2025 wurde von Dolby der Dolby Vision Nachfolger Dolby Vision 2 bzw. Dolby Vision 2 Max vorgestellterste Ankündigung , welche Philips TV-Modelle des 2026er Jahrgangs auch in den Genuß des neuen HDR-Formats kommen.
So wurde bestätigt, dass folgende Serien mit Dolby Vision 2 kommen werden:
OLED951
OLED911
OLED811
PQS9001 (damit ist das neue Namensschema auch offiziell bestätigt)
Ich gehe davon aus, dass Dolby Vision 2 Max in den OLED951 und OLED911 enthalten sein wird. Auf allen anderen Dolby Vision 2-Modellen wird nur das “einfache” DV2 integriert.
Da aktuell seitens Mediatek nur den Pentonic 800 offiziell Dolby Vision 2 unterstützt, setzt TP Vision bzw. Philips ebenfalls bei den 2026er High-end OLED-TV-Modellen auf diesen Chip. Bisher – also in den Jahrgängen 2023, 2024 und 2025 – wurde der Pentonic 1000 von Mediatek genutzt. Der Wechsel würde auch bedeuten, dass endlich vier HDMI 2.1 Ports zur Verfügung stehen, die volle Bandbreite mit sich bringen (im Gegensatz von nur 2 Ports beim Pentonic 1000). Natürlich wird weiterhin Philips P5 Picture Engine bzw. Dual Engine im Flagshiff mit an Bord sein.
Weiterhin wird Dolby Vision 2 in den High-End Titan OS TVs integriert. Hierzu gehören die LCDs der PQS9001 Serie und die 2026er High-End MiniLED-TVs sowie die OLED TVs der 700er Serie. Dies würde auch bedeuten, dass hier ein Chipwechsel stattfindet. Zuvor wurden Novatek-Chipsätze in den Titan OS-TVs genutzt. Ob es sich dabei auch um den Pentonic 800 handelt oder ggf. andere Mediatek-Chipsätze, wie ich in der Vergangenheit berichtete , wird sich zeigen müssen.
