Seit fast 70 Jahren zeichnet der Red Dot Award Unternehmen aus, die ihre Produkte und ihr Unternehmen durch besseres Design hervorheben wollen. Der Red Dot Design Award gliedert sich in die drei Disziplinen Red Dot Award: Produktdesign, Red Dot Award: Marken & Kommunikationsdesign und Red Dot Award: Design Concept. Mit mehr als 20.000 Einsendungen sind die Red Dot Awards einer der größten und renommiertesten Designwettbewerbe der Welt.
Mit den Auszeichnungen wird das absolut Beste des Produktdesigns gewürdigt. Eine unabhängige Jury von 50 internationalen Designexperten bewertet die Produkte über mehrere Tage hinweg anhand einer Reihe von Faktoren wie:
Rod White, Chief Design Officer bei TP Vision , kommentierte die neuen Auszeichnungen mit den Worten:
„Ich glaube, dass TP Vision im Bereich der Unterhaltungselektronik einzigartig ist, weil wir uns darauf konzentrieren, das Produktdesign zu einem Kernelement des Produktentwicklungsprozesses zu machen und nicht nachträglich einem fertigen Produkt hinzuzufügen.
Unsere Kundinnen und Kunden empfinden genau wie wir, dass das Design des Produkts sehr wichtig ist. Die Gestaltung trägt dazu bei, dass es während der gesamten Lebensdauer geschätzt wird und mit einem gewissen Stolz benutzt wird. Ich freue mich, dass dieses Konzept mit dem Gewinn von vier Red Dot Awards erneut die höchste Auszeichnung und die offizielle Anerkennung der professionellen Designgemeinschaft erhalten hat.“
